The afternoon session of EXEL in Iloilo: Year 4 continues at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City, bringing MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs closer to franchising opportunities, financing options, and business support services.

The session features GetPop Products and Services, presented by AJR C. Sonza, Head of Operations, Asia Region, GetPop, followed by the Franchisee–Franchisor Encounter. This business-matching activity provides participants with opportunities to engage directly with franchise companies, explore potential investments, and gain a better understanding of franchise ownership. Representatives from SB Corporation, LandBank, BPI, and other financial institutions also provide access to information on financing options, while the Negosyo Center offers business advisory services to support their entrepreneurial journey.

The session features Ken Lerona as the resource speaker for “Building Sustainable Business through Franchising,” highlighting how franchising can serve as a pathway for business expansion, sustainability, and long-term growth.

Bebit, IP Field Operations-in-Charge of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL), underscoring the importance of intellectual property protection and innovative packaging in strengthening MSME competitiveness.

Discussions also cover policies, programs, and support mechanisms for renewable energy investments in the Province of Iloilo, presented by Rey Victor G. *Investment Priority Plan Overview – Floreza D. Alpuerto, Chief Investments Specialist of the Board of Investments–Cebu, presented investment priorities, incentives, and opportunities in renewable energy.

*Renewable Energy Opportunities: Investment Models and Project Development – Jeffrey A. Cotoner, Senior Project Development Manager of Levanta Renewables, discussed investment models and project development opportunities in renewable energy.

*Electric Mobility as an Emerging Business Opportunity – Karmela Alexandra C. Jesena, Marketing Head of MG Motors Philippines, explored the growing electric mobility sector and its potential for new business ventures.

*Sustainable Packaging Solutions for MSMEs – Glaiza M. Sasao, Business Sales Associate of Entrepouch, shared how sustainable packaging can enhance product presentation and help MSMEs improve their market competitiveness.
