Celebrating the Panay Bukidnon of Calinog, Iloilo!

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iloilo Provincial Office proudly commends the Panay Bukidnon cultural community of Garangan, Calinog, Iloilo for their remarkable collaboration with UNIQLO and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Panay on a broader platform.

This meaningful partnership is a testament to the enduring artistry, traditions, and cultural identity of the Panay Bukidnon, whose heritage continues to inspire pride not only in Iloilo but across the country and beyond.

DTI Iloilo is especially proud to have supported the community through its Shared Service Facility (SSF) Project in Barangay Garangan, Calinog, which provides emboridery equipment and production support to help preserve traditional embroidery practices while enhancing the productivity and livelihood of Panay Bukidnon artisans. Through the SSF Program, DTI aims to empower indigenous communities by strengthening their capacity to produce high-quality handcrafted products and opening greater opportunities for market access.

The success of this collaboration with UNIQLO and the NCCA affirms that preserving our cultural heritage and empowering our local artisans go hand in hand. It is a shining example of how culture, creativity, and community can create lasting social and economic impact.

Congratulations to the Panay Bukidnon of Garangan, Calinog, UNIQLO, and the NCCA for this significant milestone. DTI Iloilo remains committed to supporting initiatives that preserve our cultural heritage while creating sustainable opportunities for our local communities.
