The good Governor has always been a staunch advocate in the fight against illegal drugs. She has remained to be a steadfast ally in this daunting mission to eliminate this menace in the entire province. Nonetheless, the creation of such Task Force will help boost the anti-illegal drug efforts in the One Cebu Island.

Gov. Garcia expressed her support for this initiative, emphasizing that the province's efforts against illegal drugs "is not just [a] one-time thing."
“We wish to send a signal nga dili sad mi moundang, if mopadayon mo diha, mopadayon sad mi…We wish to achieve a very, very high degree of apprehension.

Sigurohon gyud ni nato nga ma convicted gyud mo,” Garcia said during the second meeting of the Peace and Order Council yesterday, November 14.
The task force will be composed of the different law enforcement agencies and other government agencies like the PRO-7, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Immigration, Cebu Port Authority (CPA), Navy, among others.
