🏆 SCHOOL INTRAMURALS 2026 | FINAL RESULTS 🏆

The School Intramural Games 2026 concluded with the Pink Blazers emerging as Overall Champion, followed by the Purple Titans as First Runner-Up, Red Warriors as Second Runner-Up, Blue Defenders as Third Runner-Up, Green Guardians as Fourth Runner-Up, and Golden Empire as Fifth Runner-Up.

Congratulations to all teams, athletes, coaches, and everyone who contributed to the success of this year’s intramurals! Beyond the victories and medals, the event celebrated sportsmanship, teamwork, discipline, camaraderie, and school spirit.

DepEd provides Lapel Microphones to Awihao NHS Teachers as Teaching Aids || August 5, 2026.

AWIHAO, TOLEDO CITY, CEBU — Teachers of Awihao National High School received lapel microphones from the Department of Education (DepEd) on August 7, 2026 to support and enhance classroom instruction. The teaching aids are intended to help teachers communicate lessons more clearly and effectively, particularly during classroom discussions, presentations, demonstrations, and other learning activities.

The provision of the lapel microphones underscores DepEd’s continuing commitment to equipping teachers with appropriate instructional resources that support quality teaching and learning. The new teaching aids are expected to enhance teachers’ classroom delivery, promote better learner engagement, and create a more dynamic learning environment. Through this support, Awihao NHS teachers are encouraged to maximize the use of available technology in making learning more accessible, interactive, and meaningful for students.

🏆 SCHOOL INTRAMURALS 2026 OFFICIALLY KICKS OFF
📅 August 7, 2026

The 2026 School Intramural Games were officially opened on August 7, 2026, at the Awihao National High School Covered Court under the theme, “Empowering Students through Sports: Building Character, Health, and Unity.”

During the opening ceremony, Mr. Elwen P. Cataposan, Master Teacher I, warmly welcomed the participating athletes and coaches representing the different teams: Golden Empire, Green Guardians, Red Warriors, Blue Defenders, Pink Blazers, and Purple Titans.

With enthusiasm and excitement, Mrs. Teresita D. Barcelona, the newly appointed School Principal, officially declared the School Intramurals 2026 open.

To establish a shared commitment to fair play, integrity, discipline, and respect throughout the games, Ms. Marieclem Omas, a Hugyaw Sepaktakraw Bronze Medalist at CVRAA 2026, led the Oath of Sportsmanship for all participating athletes. Meanwhile, Mr. Joel L. Cuizon, the School Sports Coordinator, led the Oath of Coaches and Officiating Officials, emphasizing their commitment to fairness, responsibility, and integrity in the conduct of the games.

Following the declaration, the Hugyaw Sepaktakraw Team ignited the ceremonial cauldron, symbolizing the official start of the games and the burning spirit of competition, sportsmanship, and unity.

Various sporting events will be held in different areas within the school campus and at the community plaza from Saturday, August 8, to Sunday, August 9, 2026.

All participating athletes are reminded to secure and bring a signed parental consent form before participating in their respective games.

The award was announced during the CROWN Awards 2026, where secondary schools were honored for their exemplary environmental stewardship and community participation.

The recognition reflects the collective efforts of the school's students, teachers, non-teaching personnel, parents, and stakeholders in promoting cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and sustainability.

Resumption of Classes

Based on the assessment conducted by the Local Government of Toledo City, the air quality has returned to normal following the recent ashfall caused by the moderate explosive eruption of Mt. Kanlaon. Accordingly, regular face-to-face classes in all public and private schools at all levels will resume on Monday, July 13, 2026. Likewise, normal operations in government offices will also resume.

As we return to our regular school activities, everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant and continue observing health and safety precautions. Students are advised to bring a handkerchief or cloth (labakara) that can be moistened with water and used to cover the nose and mouth should ashfall occur again, especially if an N95 face mask is not available. Let us continue to prioritize everyone's safety and follow the advisories issued by the local authorities. Thank you, and we wish everyone a safe return to school.
