Personnel from the Toledo City Jail – Female Dormitory, under the leadership of Acting Warden SJO3 Maria Milamed B. Abella, recently took part in Brigada Eskwela at Sangi and Malubog Elementary Schools.

As June begins, a new chapter unfolds for our Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL)—a fresh path toward hope, reform, and a rebuilt future.

On June 1, 2026, the ECT Excellencia Global Academy Foundation Incorporated (EEGAFI) officially launched the School Year 2026-2027 for Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) at the Toledo City Jail. Under the leadership of SJO3 Maria Milamed B. Abella, Acting Warden, the Female Dormitory at Toledo City Jail expressed its sincere appreciation to Dr. Franisca T. Uy, Founder and Principal 1 of EEGAFI, for providing educational opportunities to the seven female PDL enrolled in Grade 12.

Under the guidance of SJO3 Maria Milamed B. Abella, Acting Warden, a dedicated team of three personnel of Toledo City Jail-Female Dormitory, took part in the Brigada Skwela Kick-off Activity at Old Bucao Elementary School, as a contribution to the Department of Education’s Annual Brigada Skwela program, aimed at promoting community involvement and support for educational institutions.

NORTH COTABATO — Matagumpay na inilunsad ng 39th Infantry “Smash’Em” Battalion ang Friends Rescued (FR) Assembly kamakailan sa Munisipalidad ng Magsaysay, Davao del Sur upang palakasin ang suporta sa mga nagbalik-loob.

Ang aktibidad ay pinangunahan ng 39IB, sa pamumuno ni LTC HECTOR A ESTOLAS INF (GSC) PA, katuwang si Mayor Arthur P. Davin, ang 1002nd Infantry “Bagwis” Brigade na pinamumunuan ni BGEN APOLLO JUN F LAMATON, KALINAW Davao del Sur, at mga kinatawan mula sa Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), at Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO). Dinaluhan ito ng 46 na benepisyaryo ngayong Mayo 2026.

Sa pamamagitan ng malawakang inter-agency collaboration, pormal na inorganisa ang mga dating rebelde bilang isang ganap na People’s Organization (POs) na pinangalanang Magsaysay Reintegration and Development for Farmers Association (MaRDeFA) kasabay ng paghalal sa kanilang mga bagong pinuno.

Ginamit din nina LTC ESTOLAS INF (GSC) PA at Mayor Davin ang pagkakataon upang ihatid ang mga pangunahing serbisyong panlipunan at pangkabuhayan, habang muling nanawagan sa mga natitira pang miyembro ng Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) na pormal nang sumuko upang makapagsimula ng ligtas, payapa, at produktibong buhay kasama ang kanilang pamilya.

The Toledo City Jail – Female Dormitory, under the leadership of SJO3 Maria Milamed B. Abella, acting warden, was honored to host a visit from the Patron Saint John De Sahagun in anticipation of the upcoming fiesta celebration. The Visita Patron team, led by Rev. Fr. Junjie Ybanez, commemorated the life of St. John De Sahagun and emphasized to the female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) the importance of living a purposeful life as Christians.

Summer League 2026

On May 20, 2026, the Toledo City Jail - Female Dormitory Summer League 2026 was successfully opened, under the leadership of Acting Warden SJO3 Maria Milamed B. Abella. This event provided female Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) the opportunity to participate in various sports, including volleyball and basketball.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors who generously provided the necessary sports uniforms and equipment for the female PDL. Their contributions significantly enhanced the experience of the event, allowing participants to showcase their hidden talents and entertain the audience. A total of four teams participated in the league, each represented by a muse who captivated spectators with their engaging performances as they competed on the court.
