The 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 (𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧)–𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗢)-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲 facilitates a 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 on 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 (𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦) on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟳–𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the Marinduque State University (MarSU)–IHS Building, 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲 (𝗣𝗚𝗠), through its 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗣𝗚–𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗢) and 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘀 (𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀) in Marinduque.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀 included representatives from all six (6) LGUs, mainly from the 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 (𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗢𝘀), as well as 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨’𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 program. 𝗠𝗿. 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗦. 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗜, represented 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧–𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 from the 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧–𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 (𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧–𝗜𝗧𝗗𝗜)—𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗡. 𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲, 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 (𝗦𝗥𝗦) 𝗜, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗖. 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘂𝘇 (𝗦𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗜), 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻 𝗔. 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 (𝗦𝗥𝗦 𝗜𝗜),—led discussions on 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝟵𝟬𝟬𝟯 (𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬) and 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝟭𝟭𝟴𝟵𝟴 (𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮). The speakers also explained 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗱𝘀, including 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 and 𝗲𝗻𝗱-𝗼𝗳-𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦, and 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲.

‎During the activity, participants joined the 𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗱𝗿𝘆-𝗿𝘂𝗻, where they worked in teams to use personal protective equipment (PPE), sort waste, and collect data. Training also covered 𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 for organic, recyclable, and residual waste. The activity concluded with a post-test and evaluation to measure participants’ understanding.

The 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧–𝗠𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗣𝗔 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗣𝗦𝗧𝗢-𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲, 𝗣𝗚𝗠 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗣𝗚–𝗘𝗡𝗥𝗢, 𝗟𝗚𝗨𝘀, 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗜𝗧𝗗𝗜 and 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗦𝗨, successfully 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗪𝗔𝗖𝗦 and support more effective solid waste management planning in Marinduque.
