February 24 | The Municipal Engineering Office assessed a portion of the access road in Brgy. Pangyan that experienced embankment erosion due to overflowing floodwater during the recent heavy rainfall on February 20, 2026. The affected section was immediately repaired to restore accessibility.

The access road is now passable to all road users. However, the public are advised to exercise caution during heavy rains.

February 24 | The Municipal Engineering Office inspected the Cogonon Daycare Center in Brgy. Salvacion following the recent weather condition due to landslide activity that was reported on February 20, 2026.

Upon inspection, it was observed that the rain-induced landslide caused soil intrusion into the classroom and damaged the wall along the rear side of the building. Clearing operations are currently ongoing to assess necessary repair works.

Given the present condition, the Cogonon Daycare Center is currently unsafe for occupancy and should remain closed untill all repairs are fully completed to ensure the safety of the children and the daycare workers.

February 24 | The Municipal Engineering Office inspected the suspension footbridge in Brgy. Basa after the severe weather on February 20, 2026 which caused heavy rainfall.

The evaluation found that flood debris damaged the suspension cables which threatens the bridge's stability.

The public is advised to use alternate routes until further notice.

April 8 | A significant infrastructure project in the locality, the Super Health Center - Medium Model was constructed under two phases with a total budget of 𝟏𝟏,πŸ“πŸŽπŸŽ,𝟎𝟎𝟎.

Both Phase I and Phase II of the project have already been completed, showcasing the municipality’s commitment to improving healthcare access for the community. Although the physical structure is finished, the facility has yet to undergo formal turnover before it can become fully operational.

There were also discussions regarding the future expansion of the facility. Plans are being considered to include additional services such as an Animal Bite Center and a dedicated Dental Clinic, which would greatly enhance the health center's capabilities. Moreover, infrastructure enhancements such as a proper drainage system and the construction of a perimeter fence were proposed to improve safety, sanitation, and functionality of the area. These developments signify the continuing effort of the local government to provide comprehensive and accessible healthcare to its constituents.

February 7 | The MEO conducted an inspection as a reply to the school request to evaluate the condition of its dilapidated classroom. The inspectorate team focused on whether the structure should be retrofitted or demolished to be replaced with a new building.

After a thorough assessment, the team concluded that demolition and reconstruction would be the safest and most practical solution due to the classroom’s age - over 20 years - and the visible structural issues, including weakened wooden trusses and crumbling concrete columns. The team also highlighted the risk of further collapse should the building be left as it is, especially during an earthquake, as more concrete rubble from walls and columns, could fall.

This recommendation prioritizes the safety of students and teachers, ensuring a more secure learning environment for the years to come.
