To provide immediate income support and strengthen social protection for vulnerable workers, the Local Government Unit of Trento in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), National Irrigation Administration (NIA) and the Department of Agriculture (DA), successfully conducted a TUPAD wage payout for beneficiaries at the Multi-Purpose Regional Evacuation Center today, June 4.

A total of 200 TUPAD beneficiaries received their wages after completing 20 days of temporary employment under the program, which aims to provide immediate income support, promote community-based work opportunities, enhance government collaboration, and empower disadvantaged workers through temporary employment.

To support the learning needs of students and promote the productive use of recovered forest resources, the Local Government Unit of Trento in partnership with the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), formally turned over 70 wooden chairs to Langkilaan Integrated School during the Turnover and Acceptance Ceremony held today, June 4.

The chairs were crafted by SAFRA-ADAP MPC, an association of Persons with Disabilities, from confiscated illegal timber and trees affected by highway widening projects. The activity also included the signing of the Deed of Donation, with more furniture assistance expected to be provided to schools in the future.

Trentohanons, we are pleased to announce that the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC II under the TESDA Grant Scholarship Program at the LGU Trento Manpower Skills Training and Assessment Center (MSTAC) is now accepting applications.

This scholarship training offers an excellent opportunity for aspiring welders to acquire industry-relevant skills and enhance their employment opportunities.

To continuously provide financial assistance and help farmers recover from agricultural losses, the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), in partnership with the Local Government Unit, distributed insurance indemnity cheques to farmer-beneficiaries for the month of June at the Municipal Agriculture Office Conference Hall today, June 2.

A total of 71 qualified farmers affected by crop damage received indemnity assistance after validation and verification conducted by PCIC.
