I would like to commend the swift response of MARINA R VII, through Engr. Ronaldo P. Bandalaria Regional Director of MARINA R VII
Marina Regional Office 7 regarding our complaint aboard Oceanjet 10. Said complaint was received on March 30,2026 and they immediately conducted an investigation and validation inspection on April 1,2026. One of the highlights of our complaint was to look into the living conditions of the crew. Ang atong kaguol dili lamang sa manakayay kundi labaw sa tanan sa mga trabahante sa maong barko.

Daghan kaayong salamat. Kini nagpamatuod nga kung mo tingog ta sa saktong pama-agi. Dili arrogante, dili manaot -- kung di para sa kausaban ug kaayohan sa mga serbisyo nga matagamtam sa Bol-anon, mo lihok ug mo tabang gayud atong mga kaubang ahensya sa gobyerno.

May our good Lord continue to bless and guide our Philippine Maritime Industry especially during this crisis.

Maligayang Araw ng Kagitingan!

May we always be reminded of the sacrifices of our fellow countrymen who stood against oppressors of the World War II.

But most of all, may we have the courage to stand against oppressors especially if they hide in plain sight, among officials, employees and fellow Filipinos.

I see hope for younger leaders, to stand for what is right even if it endangers a title, a place of comfort or a name.

Imagine, paying P 594.00 for a one way ticket in a fast craft. You sit down and see this mess right in front of you. In this economy, not many can afford a ticket that costs this much. Mag tarong lang sad ta sa atong trabaho. I was about to scan the code to make a complaint. To my surprise it didn't give me access to any portal. Dili maihap kung pila ka violations ang paglapas ani nga vessel. Philippine fast crafts are mandated by the Maritime Industry Authority to maintain strict sanitation, hygiene and seaworthiness standards- not only to ensure passenger health but most importantly- their safety.

So since you do not have any outlet to manifest any of your passengers' complaints. I will post here on social media, in hopes that you will realize this is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Philippine vessels, if you are listening. This is a time of real struggle. So if someone can afford to pay for a ticket, sit in your vessel and be a patron of your ship, you are mandated by LAW to treat all passengers with the utmost respect!

Mag guol ko usahay mag huna2 nga basta Career day gani sa skwelahan, mo ingon si Teacher dapat mag sinina ka sa imong dream nga profession. Wala ko'y mahinumduman nga mag sinina isip mag uuma.

I realized we don't romanticize farming anymore. And I mean, fall in love with the process of bringing food to our tables- from root to plate. So what happens when we run out of farmers?

I went to The FRMCY at Dimiao with my highschool friends. Pag abot namo, naay kamalig nga naa sa tunga sa farm. Gipalibutan ug kinadaghanang nindot nga tanum ug kakahuyan. Ang kusina simple ra, makita nimo nag baga ang kayo sa sug-angan. Lahi2 ang luto nga ma tilawan sa matag bisita kay mag depende sa abot gikan sa farm. A farm to table concept that boasts Boholano tradition.

The amazing Chef and owner is my batchmate Magie. And I saw REAL food being masterfully prepared rooted in the heritage and culture of Boholano tradition. The ingredients were all local. Sometimes from neighbors and friends. Simple but impactful.

I imagined for a moment, what if young people started to dream of this as a profession? What if educators started pursuing this in the academic agenda? What if more colleges highlighted food, nutrition and agriculture courses? What if LGUs started supporting businesses that highlight not only tourism but agriculture, sustainability, culture and heritage as well.

If we encouraged the youth to pursue farming and revive agriculture we could have answers to many of the problems we face today. Problems in health, agriculture, rising prices of local commodities, problems in the environment and many factors that are rooted in the most basic and important sustenance -- our food.

And then I stopped and thought--I am in the position to make what ifs become even ifs. ❤️ Looking forward to all the possibilities for our farmers!

PS. I highly recommend the experience! I am still dreaming of their food!
