No to Bullying!!!
OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON THE REPORTED STUDENT CONFLICT INCIDENT โ JULY 8, 2025
The Municipality of Tuba is closely monitoring the situation regarding the student incident reported last July 8, 2025, and has taken steps to ensure the welfare of those involved.
Following the report received from the Tuba Municipal Police Station โ Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) provided appropriate welfare interventions. Support services, including guidance and psychosocial assistance, were extended to the child and family involved to help ensure their well-being. MSWDO also participated in a coordination meeting with school representatives and concerned agencies to help address the situation and support case management. Further referral for specialist evaluation and continued welfare monitoring is being coordinated through the Baguio City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
The MSWDO and Tuba Municipal Police Station remain in coordination with other concerned agencies to monitor the situation and ensure that child protection measures are in place.
The Municipality of Tuba emphasizes that bullying, violence, and retaliation have no place in our community. We call on everyone to help promote peaceful conflict resolution and understanding, especially among our youth. Every child deserves protection, guidance, and the opportunity to grow in a safe and supportive environment.
To further strengthen preventive measures, anti-bullying Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions are being conducted across schools in Tuba through the MSWDO and Tuba MPS, and we encourage more schools to coordinate with us for future activities.
