LOOK | 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) in Tubajon

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) Tubajon, headed by Mayor Fely Pedrablanca and MDRRMO Benjiemen Vargas, together with the BFP Tubajon Fire Station and the dedicated TCES Teaching Staff, successfully conducted the 3rd Quarter 2025 NSED.

This nationwide drill highlights the importance of preparedness and safety—especially for our young learners—by equipping them with the right knowledge and response skills during an earthquake.

Through the practice of “Duck, Cover, and Hold,” we instill discipline, readiness, and a culture of safety in our schools and communities.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Tubajon, in collaboration with A Single Drop for Safe Water (ASDSW), successfully conducted the Barangay Resilience Innovation Through Empowerment (BRITE) Training for the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) of Diaz, Tubajon, Dinagat Islands last August 25-29, 2025.

This initiative was carried out as part of the continuing efforts to strengthen the disaster preparedness and resilience of the community by empowering local leaders and stakeholders with the knowledge, skills, and innovative approaches needed in disaster risk reduction and management.

We sincerely acknowledge the valuable support and facilitation assistance extended by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) of Dinagat Islands and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Basilisa, whose collaboration greatly contributed to the success of this activity.
