DENR Permitting on Wheels is coming to Tubao!

In celebration of Environmental Month 2026, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), in partnership with the Municipality of Tubao, brings its frontline services closer to the community through DENR Permitting on Wheels on June 17, 2026 (Wednesday) at the Tubao Civic Center.

Residents, landowners, businesses, and stakeholders are invited to avail of various services from PENRO, EMB, and MGB, including assistance on environmental permits, land-related concerns, mining and geohazard services, and other DENR-related applications.

This initiative aims to make government services more accessible while strengthening awareness and participation in responsible environmental management and sustainable development.

Sa pangunguna ni Hon. Mayor Atty. Jonalyn Garcia Fontanilla-Piayas, sama-samang nakiisa ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Tubao sa paggunita ng Araw ng Kalayaan sa pamamagitan ng isang makahulugang programa bilang pagpapakita ng paggalang sa ating Pambansang Watawat at pagpapatibay ng diwa ng pagkakaisa at pagmamahal sa bayan.

Isinagawa rin ang isang wreath laying ceremony bilang pagbibigay-pugay sa ating mga bayani na nag-alay ng kanilang buhay, tapang, at sakripisyo upang makamit ang kalayaang ating tinatamasa ngayon.

Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay nagsisilbing paalala na ang tunay na diwa ng kalayaan ay naipapakita sa pamamagitan ng pagkakaisa, malasakit, at tapat na paglilingkod para sa kapakanan ng ating komunidad.

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 32, Series of 2026, there shall be a suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels (public and private schools) in the Municipality of Tubao on June 10, 2026, due to the scheduled power interruption.

Schools are directed to implement modular distance learning or other alternative learning modalities to ensure continuity of instruction. School personnel shall likewise observe appropriate work arrangements as directed by their respective school heads.

The Municipality of Tubao officially commenced the week with a Flag Raising Ceremony, bringing together municipal officials, department heads, employees, and stakeholders in a shared expression of patriotism, unity, and commitment to public service.

The ceremony served as a reminder of our collective responsibility to uphold the values of integrity, accountability, and excellence in serving the people of Tubao. It also provided an opportunity to align priorities, recognize ongoing initiatives, and strengthen collaboration among offices as we continue working toward the municipalityโ€™s development goals.

The Municipality of Tubao, La Union proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our young Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries through the successful conduct of the โ€œPagwadan nga Ubbing ti Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Programโ€. More than a recognition activity, this initiative serves as a testament to the determination, resilience, and potential of Tubaoโ€™s youthโ€”young individuals who continue to excel despite challenges and who embody the values of responsibility, leadership, and academic excellence.

Institutionalized through Municipal Ordinance No. 07, Series of 2025, the program highlights the accomplishments of exemplary 4Ps children and reaffirms the Municipalityโ€™s commitment to nurturing future leaders and empowering every child to reach their fullest potential.

Todayโ€™s Flag Ceremony was a meaningful start to the month, bringing together municipal officials and employees in a spirit of unity, patriotism, and public service, through the leadership of our Municipal Mayor, Atty. Jonalyn Garcia Fontanilla-Piayas, along with Municipal Vice Mayor Romeo S. Garcia, continues to strengthen our commitment to serving the people of Tubao with integrity, dedication, and excellence.

As we gathered before our national flag, we were reminded of our shared responsibility in advancing the programs and aspirations of our municipality. The ceremony was followed by a prayer, seeking guidance, wisdom, and strength as we carry out our duties and work toward the continued progress and development of our community.

A special highlight of the gathering was the recognition of our June birthday celebrants. As they celebrate another year of life, we extend our warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes for good health, happiness, and success.
