PTA Assembly Opens SY 2026-2027 with Policy Updates
Tublay, Benguet- June 11, 2026
The first General PTA Assembly for School Year 2026-2027 convened Thursday, bringing parents, teachers and community leaders together to align on school policies and programs.
School Principal Edgar W. Sapigao oriented the assembly on the three-term calendar, new grading system, education in emergencies, Senior Higj School electives, and students' wearing of uniform and ID.
PTA outgoing President Jethro A. Legias urge parents to continue supporting the school to ensure smooth operations for the school year.
Punong Barangay Nicanor D. Menzi also addressed the assembly emphasizing the shared role of home and school in upholding students' discipline.
Homeroom election of officers and some briefings for parents were facilitated by class advisers with their co- advisers. Elected presidents later met to tackle additional initiatives supporting the school.

2nd Day of Opening Block Highlights Safety, Community, and Learners’ Wellness

Tublay, Benguet — June 9, 2026. The second day of the school’s opening block was marked by a series of informative and community centered activities, focusing on safety, child protection, and learners’ wellness.
Chief of Police Angeline Dongpaen of Tublay Municipal Police Station, together with her subordinates, led discussions on traffic rules, emphasizing the importance of wearing helmets and proper gear when riding motorcycles with an outline of consequences of violations based on LTO regulations and Tublay Municipal Ordinance. The orientation extended to critical topics such as child abuse cases, curfew for minors, anti momma regulations, smoking, and va**ng, underscoring the role of law enforcement in safeguarding youth.
Adding strength to the orientation, Punong Barangay Nicanor D. Menzi shared his advice to students, reinforcing the importance of discipline and community support. The first session was solemnly closed with a prayer led by PTA President Jethro A. Legias.
Health and wellness were also prioritized as Barangay Health Workers conducted the taking of learners’ height and weight, ensuring proper monitoring of student growth and development.
In the afternoon, the program continued with the RMA (Reading, Mathematics, and Assessment) activity, engaging learners in academic readiness exercises.
The day’s activities reflected a holistic approach—combining law enforcement guidance, community leadership, health monitoring, and academic preparation—to ensure that learners are not only safe but also supported in their personal and educational journeys.
