Imbakan ng Armas at Pampasabog, Narekober ng PRO2 sa Lasam, Cagayan

Camp Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City — Matagumpay na narekober ng Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2) ang iba’t ibang armas, bala, kagamitang pangkomunikasyon, at mga bahagi ng improvised explosive device (IED) sa isinagawang major operation sa Barangay Viga, Lasam, Cagayan noong Mayo 30, 2026.

Batay sa ulat, pinangunahan ng 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company, 3rd Platoon, katuwang ang 112th Special Action Company, PNP SAF; 203rd Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 2; Cagayan Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit; Regional Intelligence Unit 2; Provincial Intelligence Unit; at Lasam Police Station ang operasyon sa mga barangay ng Tagao, Viga, Peru, Nabannagan East, at Nabannagan West, pawang nasa bayan ng Lasam, Cagayan.

Pagdating ng mga operatiba sa target area, napatunayang tama ang impormasyong ibinahagi ng dating rebelde na kinilalang si alyas “Ric,” dahilan upang matagumpay na marekober ang nakatagong arms cache.

Kabilang sa mga narekober ang improvised blasting caps, detonating cord, fuse time, 40mm high explosive cartridges, hand grenades, improvised anti-personnel mine component, iba’t ibang bala para sa 5.56mm, 7.62mm, at .38 caliber fi****ms, stranded wire, cellular phones, handheld radio, 5.56 magazines, improvised shotgun, dalawang caliber .38 revolver, 12-volt wet cell battery, at isang bandolier.

Dinala ang mga narekober na kagamitan sa Lasam Police Station para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at disposisyon, habang ang mga IED component ay maingat na pinroseso at itinurn-over sa Cagayan PECU para sa tamang paghawak at disposisyon.

Isinagawa ang operasyon matapos makatanggap ng impormasyon hinggil sa itinatagong arms cache at subversive materials sa isang estratehikong lugar na posibleng ginagamit bilang mobility corridor, taguan, observation post, o staging area ng mga armadong grupo at iba pang lawless elements sa kabundukan ng Barangay Viga.

Ayon kay PBGen Mariano C. Rodriguez, Acting Regional Director ng PRO2, mahalagang hakbang ang naturang tagumpay upang maagapan ang anumang banta sa seguridad at kaligtasan ng mamamayan sa Cagayan Valley.

“Ang pagkakarekober ng mga armas, bala, at pampasabog na ito ay patunay ng mabilis, tapat, at nararamdamang serbisyo ng inyong kapulisan. Sa ilalim ng adhikain ng Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas, patuloy naming paiigtingin ang intelligence-driven operations upang mapigilan ang anumang karahasan at matiyak ang kapayapaan sa ating mga komunidad,” ani PBGen Rodriguez.

Dagdag pa niya, mahalaga ang patuloy na pakikiisa ng publiko sa pagbibigay ng tama at napapanahong impormasyon sa mga awtoridad upang mas mapabilis ang pagtugon ng kapulisan sa anumang banta sa seguridad.

Tiniyak ng PRO2 na magpapatuloy ang mas pinaigting na operasyon laban sa terorismo, insurhensiya, at iba pang uri ng kriminalidad upang maiparamdam sa mamamayan ang tunay na serbisyong pulis na mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.

PRO 2, Tukoy na ang Motibo sa Nangyaring Krimen sa Sto. Tomas, Isabela

Camp Marcelo A Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan- Kinumpirma ng Police Regional Office 2 (PRO 2) na tukoy na nila ang motibo sa naganap na krimen sa Sto. Tomas, Isabela kung saan ikinasawi ng apat na indibidwal, kabilang ang isang barangay kapitan at isang pulis.

Ayon sa PRO 2, pulitika ang pangunahing anggulong lumabas sa masusing imbestigasyon ng mga kapulisan kaugnay sa insidente. Patuloy pa rin na nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon ang kapulisan sa pamamagitan ng Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) upang maaresto na ang mga responsable sa krimen na kung saan tukoy na ang mga person of interest.

Samantala, personal na nagpaabot ng tulong pinansyal si PRO 2 Regional Director, PBGEN MARIANO C RODRIGUEZ sa pamilya ng nasawing pulis bilang suporta sa kanilang pagdadalamhati. Nagbigay rin ng ayuda ang pamunuan ng PRO 2 sa pulis na nasugatan sa naturang insidente upang makatulong sa kanyang pagpapagamot at paggaling.

Tiniyak din ni PBGen Rodriguez sa publiko, lalo na sa mga pamilya ng biktima, na nakatuon ang buong hanay ng SITG sa paglutas ng kaso at hindi titigil hangga’t hindi nakakamit ang hustisya para sa mga biktima at sa kanilang mga naulilang mahal sa buhay.

“Walang puwang sa rehiyon ang ganitong uri ng karahasan. Inaatasan ko ang lahat ng PNP concerned units na paigtingin ang intelligence operations at manhunt efforts hanggang sa makamit ang hustisya at madakip ang mga salarin”, dagdag ni PBGen Rodriguez.

PNP CHIEF AMONG TOP-RATED GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN NATIONWIDE GOVERNANCE SURVEY

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ranked among the country's top-rated government officials in the latest nationwide “Boses ng Bayan” Index of Governance (IOG) survey conducted by RPMD Foundation Inc.

The survey, conducted from April 1 to 8, 2026 among 5,000 respondents nationwide, showed that PGen Nartatez garnered a 78.8% Index of Governance score, supported by a 78.5% trust rating and a 79.1% performance rating.

The result reflects sustained public confidence in the PNP’s efforts to maintain peace and order, strengthen community engagement, and enhance the delivery of police services across the country. It also highlights the growing recognition of the organization’s ongoing reforms and operational initiatives aligned with the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

PGen Nartatez welcomed the survey findings, emphasizing that the recognition belongs to every police officer who continues to serve with dedication and professionalism.

"We are grateful for the trust and confidence of our fellow Filipinos. This recognition is not for one person alone but for the men and women of the PNP who work tirelessly every day to keep our communities safe. Malaking inspirasyon ito para lalo pa naming pagbutihin ang aming serbisyo,"PGen Nartatez said.

He added that the PNP remains committed to earning and sustaining public trust through integrity, accountability, and responsive policing.

"Patuloy nating palalakasin ang ating ugnayan sa mga komunidad at sisiguraduhin natin na ang bawat aksyon ng PNP ay nakatuon sa kapakanan ng mamamayan. Public trust is our most valuable asset, and we will continue working hard to deserve it," he added.

MALASAKIT SA MAMAMAYAN AT KAPWA PULIS, MULING IPINAKITA NG PNP

Sa magkahiwalay na insidente sa Iloilo City at Quezon City, muling ipinakita ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang kahalagahan ng malasakit, agarang pagtugon, at paglingap sa mga nangangailangan.

Sa Iloilo City, agad na umaksyon ang mga tauhan ng Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) at mga responder mula sa Regional Medical and Dental Unit 6 nang madapa ang isang senior citizen habang naglalakad sa kahabaan ng Zamora Street nitong gabi ng Mayo 29. Mabilis siyang nabigyan ng paunang lunas sa lugar bago ligtas na dinala sa West Visayas State University Medical Center para sa karagdagang pagsusuri at gamutan.
Samantala, sa Quezon City, isang pulis ang nasugatan habang rumesponde sa isang insidente sa kahabaan ng Eulogio Rodriguez Avenue sa ilalim ng Libis Flyover, Barangay Libis. Agad siyang nabigyan ng kinakailangang medikal na atensyon at patuloy na minomonitor ang kanyang kalagayan upang matiyak ang kanyang mabilis at maayos na paggaling.

Ayon kay Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., ang mga ganitong pagkakataon ay nagpapakita na ang serbisyo ng pulisya ay hindi lamang nakatuon sa pagpapatupad ng batas kundi maging sa pagprotekta at pag-aaruga sa bawat tao.

"Ang bawat buhay ay mahalaga. Nakakatuwang makita ang ating mga pulis na agad tumutulong sa isang senior citizen na nangangailangan ng saklolo at kasabay nito ay tinitiyak din ang kapakanan ng kanilang kapwa pulis na nasugatan habang ginagampanan ang tungkulin. Ito ang uri ng malasakit at serbisyo na nais nating maging kultura sa buong organisasyon," ani PGen Nartatez.

Dagdag pa niya, "Sa likod ng bawat uniporme ay mga taong handang tumulong at magsakripisyo para sa kapwa. Patuloy nating palalakasin ang serbisyong may puso, may malasakit, at may tunay na pakialam sa kapakanan ng ating mga mamamayan at kapulisan."

Tatlong Suspek, Arestado sa Drug Buy-Bust ng PNP Santiago City at PDEA

Camp Marcelo A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — Sa pinaigting na kampanya ng Santiago City Police Office laban sa ilegal na droga, naaresto ang tatlong suspek sa Calao West, Santiago City matapos makumpiskahan ng mahigit Php65,000.00 halaga ng ilegal na droga noong gabi ng Mayo 29, 2026.

Ipinatupad ng Police Station 1, katuwang ang PDEA, ang buy-bust operation sa nabanggit na lugar na nagresulta sa pagkakasamsam ng higit 10 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu, buy-bust money, improvised tooter, lighter, at pouch bag.

Nadakip sa operasyon sina alyas Ben, 43 taong gulang; alyas Guiller, 44 taong gulang; at alyas Kier, 37 taong gulang — pawang mga high-value target at residente ng nasabing lugar.

Ang mga suspek, kasama ang nakumpiskang ebidensya, ay nasa kustodiya ng kapulisan para sa kaukulang dokumentasyon at tamang disposisyon.

Samantala, pinuri ni PBGen Mariano C. Rodriguez, Acting Regional Director ng PRO 2, ang mga kapulisan at PDEA sa likod ng matagumpay na operasyon. Hinikayat din niya ang mga mamamayan ng Santiago City na patuloy na makipagtulungan sa kapulisan upang tuluyang masugpo ang problema sa ilegal na droga.

“Ang operasyon ng kapulisan at PDEA laban sa ilegal na droga ay isa lamang sa mga tagumpay ng PRO 2 upang wakasan ang problemang dulot nito sa komunidad, alinsunod sa maigting na pagpapatupad ng Focused Agenda ng PNP at sa bisyon ng Bagong PNP sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman,” saad ni PBGen Rodriguez.

CALABARZON'S TOP MOST WANTED PERSON IN CONNECTION WITH A R**E CASE ARRESTED IN NORTHERN SAMAR

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., strengthened its intensified campaign against wanted persons following the arrest of the Number 1 Most Wanted Person at the regional level in CALABARZON during a manhunt operation conducted on May 25, 2026 in Mondragon, Northern Samar.

Joint operatives of the Mondragon Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 4A, Northern Samar Police Provincial Office Provincial Intelligence Unit, Regional Intelligence Division 8, and Antipolo City Police Station arrested the 26-year-old male suspect, a native of Caloocan City who was residing in Mondragon, Northern Samar, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for 13 counts of Statutory R**e issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 72, Antipolo City, Rizal. The court recommended no bail for the accused.

Authorities informed the accused of the nature of his arrest and constitutional rights before bringing him to the Mondragon Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

PGEN Nartatez emphasized that the successful operation reflects the sustained determination of the PNP to locate fugitives and ensure that they face the law regardless of where they attempt to hide.

“No individual wanted by the law should feel beyond the reach of justice. This successful operation highlights the strong commitment of the Philippine National Police to protect communities and pursue offenders wherever they may be,” said PGEN Nartatez.

“Patuloy nating hahabulin ang mga taong may pananagutan sa batas upang mapanatili ang kaayusan at seguridad ng ating mga komunidad. Hindi tayo titigil hangga’t hindi sila napapanagot,” he added.

PNP SEIZES ₱6.4M SMUGGLED CI******ES; WAREHOUSE OWNER ARRESTED IN ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., implemented a Search Warrant for Violation of Republic Act No. 10643 on May 28, 2026 in Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, resulting in the arrest of a warehouse owner and the seizure of large quantities of smuggled ci******es.

The operation was led by the Zamboanga Sibugay Maritime Police Station, in coordination with the Regional Maritime Unit 9 – Special Operations Response Team, Titay Municipal Police Station, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, and the Provincial Intelligence Unit of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Acting on a court-issued warrant, the operating teams conducted a search at a warehouse owned by the suspect, where assorted smuggled ci******es were discovered and confiscated. The total estimated value of seized items reached ₱6,418,224.00.

The warehouse owner was informed of his constitutional rights. He was subsequently brought to the Zamboanga Sibugay Maritime Police Station for documentation and proper disposition prior to the filing of appropriate charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10643, also known as the Anti-Illicit Trade of To***co Act.

The operation reflects the implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda—a transformation-driven framework designed to enhance accountability, strengthen operational effectiveness, and improve public service delivery.
Anchored on key priorities such as Integrity Monitoring and Enhanced Managing Police Operations, the agenda continues to guide sustained efforts against smuggling and other illegal trade activities.

PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. stated: “We remain firm in our commitment to stop smuggling activities that undermine government revenues and affect lawful trade.”
