Bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagtugon sa pangangailangan ng mga mamamayang higit na nangangailangan, matagumpay na isinagawa ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Baggao ang unang pamamahagi ng bigas sa ilalim ng 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙤𝙧 𝙁𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨 – 𝙁𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚/𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩 noong ika-25 ng Mayo, 2026.

Ang nasabing inisyatiba ay isinagawa sa ilalim ng 𝙁𝙔 2026 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙 – 𝙁𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙐𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙨 (𝙇𝙂𝙎𝙁-𝙁𝘼𝙇𝙂𝙐), na naglalayong maghatid ng agarang tulong sa mga indigent na indibidwal at pamilya sa bayan ng Baggao.

Bilang bahagi ng pagsusubaybay at pagtitiyak ng maayos na implementasyon ng programa, dumalo sa aktibidad sina Department of Agriculture (DA) Cagayan Valley Regional Technical Director for Operations and Extension, Dr. Roberto S. Busania, at kinatawan mula sa DILG Cagayan na sina PDMU Chief LGOO V Mildred P. Furigay, Engr. III Edison G. Bucala, at MLGOO Charlotte Jennifer M. Aggabao.

Sa kanyang mensahe, pinuri ni Dr. Busania ang Pamahalaang Bayan ng Baggao sa mahigpit at wastong pagsunod nito sa mga alituntunin ng Sagip Saka Procurement Act sa pagbili ng suplay ng bigas. Aniya, ang Baggao ay kinikilala bilang kauna-unahang LGU sa lalawigan ng Cagayan at isa sa mga naunang lokal na pamahalaan sa Rehiyon II na matagumpay na nagpatupad ng 𝙁𝘼𝙇𝙂𝙐 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙟𝙚𝙘𝙩.

Ayon naman kay Punong Bayan Pattung, tiniyak ng lokal na pamahalaan na ang implementasyon ng mga benepisyong tulong ay direktang nakararating sa mga pamilyang tunay na nangangailangan.

Samantala, binigyang-diin naman ni PDMU Chief Furigay ang kahalagahan ng pag-anyaya sa DILG bilang bahagi ng implementasyon ng proyekto. Ayon sa kanya, ang maagap na procurement ay malinaw na patunay ng matibay na malasakit ng lokal na pamahalaan sa kapakanan ng mga pamilyang nangangailangan.

Saklaw ng unang pamamahagi ng distribusyon ang San Jose Cluster na binubuo ng 10 barangay na may 924 benepisyaryo, at ang Hacienda Cluster na may 7 barangay na may 545 benepisyaryo.

𝑩𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝑳𝑮𝑼 𝑹𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒍

LGU Rizal, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cagayan, successfully conducted a two-day Training Workshop on Engineering Basics and Project Monitoring for Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) members on May 20–21, 2026 at the Malaueg Museum.

The activity gathered PMC members and Civil Society Organization (CSO) representatives to strengthen their competencies in monitoring infrastructure projects, including roads, buildings, and water supply systems. Participants were likewise oriented on the proper accomplishment of RPMES Form 3 to support efficient and accurate project monitoring and evaluation.

On the second day, participants carried out an on-site field inspection where they inspected actual road projects within the municipality, applying the knowledge and techniques gained from the training.

This initiative reinforces LGU Rizal’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and quality public service delivery through active citizen participation and strengthened monitoring systems.

The activity forms part of DILG Cagayan’s 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑺𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑬 initiative, which seeks to enhance LGU capacities through technical assistance and knowledge-sharing interventions.

𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝐆𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐩 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞

In implementing infrastructure projects, the LGU of Gattaran continues to pursue more calibrated monitoring and evaluation through its Local Project Monitoring Committee (PMC).

Through a one-day training workshop held on May 14, 2026, the PMC, together with the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO) staff, engaged in a comprehensive yet informative discussion complemented by a field practicum.

Facilitated by the DILG Cagayan team, the activity covered the basics of engineering and proper monitoring of Local Access Roads, Vertical Structures, and Water Supply Systems. Participants were also given the opportunity to conduct an actual site visit, allowing them to apply the concepts discussed during the training.

LGU Santa Ana teams up with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cagayan for a 2-day training on engineering basics and project monitoring, capped with an on-site inspection.

Held on May 5–6, 2026 at the FITS Hall, the activity equipped Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) members and CSO representatives with practical knowledge on roads, buildings, and water supply systems. Participants also had a hands-on session on using RPMES Form 3 for effective monitoring

The Municipality of Enrile, Cagayan successfully inaugurated its 𝙁𝙔 2024 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙂𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚–𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙣𝙙 (𝙎𝙂𝙇𝙂-𝙄𝙁) Project, “𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙡 𝘽𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧: 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝” on May 7, 2026, marking another achievement in the municipality’s pursuit of responsive and effective local governance.

Funded under the SGLG-IF Program with an allocation of Php 1,153,000.00, the project symbolizes the municipality’s commitment to excellence in governance, public service, and local development.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by distinguished officials including DILG Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, DOT Regional Director Troy Alexander G. Miano, OIC-Provincial Tourism Officer Sally Vitug, RPDMU Chief Atty. Rambo R. Tambauan, and MLGOO Gil B. Oranda, together with Mayor Miguel B. Decena Jr. and Vice Mayor Alexander M. Iringan. Also present were members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department heads, LGU personnel, and other stakeholders.

The newly constructed welcome arch stands not only as a landmark structure, but also as a testament to the municipality’s dedication to progress, unity, and responsive governance for the people of Enrile.

A significant milestone for the Municipality of Lal-lo, Cagayan was marked with the successful inauguration of the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance–Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) Project, entitled “Concreting of Access Road within LGU Compound” on May 5, 2026.

Strategically designed to improve accessibility, mobility, and service delivery within the municipal compound, the project was implemented through an allocation of Php 1,153,000.00 under the SGLG-IF program—an incentive granted to LGUs that uphold excellence in governance.

The activity was graced by DILG Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, CESO IV, Provincial Director Marietta F. Abalus, CESO V, and MLGOO Miriam T. Tan, together with Mayor Florence Oliver B. Pascual and Vice Mayor Maria Olivia B. Pascual. Also present were members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department heads, civil society organizations (CSOs), LGU personnel, and other stakeholders.

This project stands as a testament to the Municipality of Lal-lo’s continued commitment to good governance, infrastructure development, and improved public service delivery.

The PSF supports LGUs in implementing initiatives that help vulnerable communities adapt to the impacts of climate change.
