KASALUKUYAN: Nagsimula na ang pitong araw na eco-tour guiding training ng 24 senior citizens sa City of Ilagan, Isabela ngayong Linggo, Oktubre 25, sa Ilagan City Hotel and Convention Center.

Ilan sa mga mahahalagang bahagi ng pitong araw na training na magtatapos sa Oktubre 31 ay ang pag-aaral sa Gender and Development Tourism, tungkulin ng isang tour guide, Filipino Brand of Service Excellence at iba pa.

Bilang bahagi ng isang buwang pagdiriwang ng Elderly Filipino Week 2026, pinalalawig nito na dapat ang sektor ng nakatatanda ay bahagi at may ambag pa rin sa pagsulong ng ekonomiya sa pamamagitan ng turismo dahil sa kanilang kaalaman, kagalingan at kahusayan para ituro at ipakilala sa nakababatang henerasyon at sa iba pang sektor at lahi ang mayamang kultura at kasaysayan ng bansa.

Ang aktibidad ay sa kolaborasyon ng National Commission of Senior Citizens - Region II, Department of Tourism - Region 02, Provincial Tourism Office of Isabela at ng Lokal na Pamahalaan ng Siyudad ng Ilagan sa pamamagitan ng City Tourism Office, Office for Senior Citizens Affairs at Federation of Senior Citizens Association of the Philippines, Inc. - Ilagan Chapter.

Masasarap na pagkaing Pilipino ang inihain ng 25 kalahok na senior citizen sa ikalawang araw ng Kulinarya for Wellness sa bayan ng Cabarroguis, Quirino noong Oktubre 22.

Matapos ang isang araw na oryentasyon at pagsasanay sa Eco Food Tourism noong Oktubre 21, kung saan ay tinuruan din silang gawing kabuhayan ang mga produktong pagkain, naisakatuparan nasabing aktibidad sa pakikipagtulungan ng Department of Tourism β€” Regional 02, Provincial Local Government Unit of Quirino β€” Tourism Office at ng lokal na pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office at ng Office for Senior Citizens Affairs.

Ang dalawang araw na kulinarya ay isinagawa sa Senior Citizens Center ng Cabarroguis, Quirino.

Layunin nitong ipakilala ang mga indigenous food at iba-ibang pagkaing Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng mga senior citizen sa rehiyon.

: The Provincial Local Government Unit of Apayao honored the valuable contributions of senior citizens during its provincial-wide Elderly Filipino Week Celebration 2026 at the Aliwa Gymn in Brgy. San Isidro Sur, Luna, Apayao.

NCSC Region II Director Dulceneah Lyra F. Dela Cruz in her message highlighted that inter-agency collaboration makes delivery of social services to vulnerable and marginalized sectors, particularly the senior citizens faster.

RD Dela Cruz said having the opportunity to witness the diverse culture of various indigenous peoples in the province becomes an inspiration for NCSC Region II in showing that government service comes with no borders regardless of designate jurisdiction, citing that whoever is closest to the call of duty should respond immediately.

The director also emphasized that as neighboring regions, many older persons from Cagayan province used to go to Far Northern Luzon General Hospital and Training Center located in Apayao's capital town Luna for easier access to medical services.

Cagayan is the gateway to the province of Apayao in the Cordillera Administrative Region.

: The National Commission of Senior Citizens β€”Region II joined the Elderly Filipino Week Celebration of Nagtipunan in the province of Qurino on Oct. 21.

Regional Director Dulceneah Lyra F. Dela Cruz thanked the local government unit headed by Mayor Noel T. Lim for the continued support of the older persons sector.

"Maraming salamat sa napakaraming oportunidad para sa ating mga senior citizen sa inyong bayan. Kahit malayo kami, ramdam namin na sila ay minamahal at naaalagaan dito sa inyong bayan", RD Dela Cruz said.

LOOK: Twenty-five senior citizens joined the Kulinarya for Wellness activity of the National Commission of Senior Citizens - Region II, Department of Tourism - Region 02 and Provincial Local Government Unit of Quirino - Provincial Tourism Office, as part of the month-long celebration of Eledelry Filipino Week this year.

The two-day activity that started yesterday, Oct. 21, at the Cabarroguis' Senior citizens' Center, aims to educate senior citizens on geriatric nutrition, highlighting the health benefits of local, organic, and indigenous traditional cuisine.

This is also to capacitate participating senior citizens organizations by training them on basic food business budgeting, ensuring the development of profitable and sustainable health-conscious food ventures for economic empowerment.

Said activity will end on Oct. 22 through the collaboration of the Local Government Unit of Cabarroguis' Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and Office for Senior Citizens Affairs.

TINGNAN: Nagpapatuloy ang pamamahagi ng P10K cash gift sa ikalawang tranche ng 3rd quater ng taong 2026 para sa mga kwalipikadong senior citizen sa programang Expanded Centenarian Act.

Sa Tuguegarao City, 42 na matatanda ang tumanggap ng tig-10,000 pesos mula Oktubre 21 hanggang 22 sa extension office ng NCSC Region II sa Government Service Express (GSE) ng SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown bilang bahagi ng layuning mapabilis ang delivery of social services ng pamahalaan.

Ang extension office ng NCSC sa GSE ng SM Center Tuguegarao Downtown ay pinasinayaan nitong Oktubre 5 kasama ang iba't-ibang ahensiya ng pamahalaan para sa mas mabilis na access sa sebisyo publiko lalo na sa sektor ng nakatatanda.

TINGNAN: Tumanggap din ang 27 na senior citizens sa Maddela, Quirino sa unang araw ng ikalawang pasada ng 3rd quater of 2026 RA 11982 cash gift distribution.

Kasalukuyang nasa iba't-ibang bayan ang mga kawani ng NCSC Region II para ipamahagi ang tig-P10K sa mga kwalipikadong senior citizens edad 80, 85, 90 at 95 sa rehiyon.

Ayon kay Director Benbenen, bilang isang senior citizen at naatasang pangunahan ang sektor ng kalusugan sa rehiyon, kaisa ang DOH para isulong ang kapakanan ng mga nakatatanda tungo sa senior-citizen-friendly na bansa.
