Family Planning Caravan in Claveria, Cagayan kicks-off 2024 National FP Month Celebration

Claveria, Cagayan, August 6, 2024 - - - - Today, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) Region II, in collaboration with the Department of Health-Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development (DOH-CVCHD) and the Local Government Unit of Claveria, Cagayan conducted Family Planning (FP) Caravan to kick-off the 2024 National Family Planning Month Celebration this August.

CPD II provides Orientation on ASRH to Kabataang IPs of Alfonso Castañeda

Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya, July 31, 2024—To empower the young Indigenous Peoples (IPs) of Alfonso Castañeda, Nueva Vizcaya with knowledge on reproductive health, responsible sexuality, and effective life skills, the Commission on Population and Development (CPD) II in collaboration with the local government unit (LGU) of Alfonso Castañeda provided an Orientation on Adolescent Sexuality and Reproductive Health (ASRH) for sixty (60) high school students on July 30, 2024.

Happy 10th birthday to our 100 Millionth Symbolic Pinoys in the region and nationwide!

One of the significant demographic events in the Philippines was when its population reached the 100 millionth mark on July 27, 2014. To highlight the impact of the growing population of the country and the need for government and institutions to nurture each person being added to the population as a productive human resource, the Commission on Population and Development featured 100 Millionth Symbolic Babies (Pinoys) who were born during such date across the regions in the country.
