𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏.𝟓𝐌 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐤𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝟔𝟔 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐠

IGUIG, Cagayan – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cagayan Field Office awarded livelihood starter kits worth ₱1,540,000.00 to 66 beneficiaries in Iguig, Cagayan today, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening sustainable livelihood opportunities under the leadership of DOLE Secretary Francisco N. Tolentino.

Of the total beneficiaries, 64 are skilled self-employed workers while 2 are to***co farmers and growers, who received livelihood assistance to help establish or expand their income-generating activities.

The livelihood kits distributed include a wide range of enterprises designed to support diverse business opportunities in the community, such as Ice Cream Vending (9), Bread & Pastry Production (4), Native Delicacies Making & Vending (23), Snack Vending (13), Barbershop (5), Street Food Vending (2), Native Delicacy & Street Food Vending (1), Fried Chicken Vending (1), Nail Care Services (2), Souvenir Printing Services (1), Taho Making & Vending (1), Bangus Production & Vending (1), Miki Production & Vending (1), and Vegetable Production & Selling (2).

The awarding ceremony was led by Provincial Director Ms. Laura B. Diciano, together with PESO Manager Ms. Encarnacion Abana and Iguig Mayor Hon. Juditas Trinidad.

Aside from the distribution of livelihood kits, beneficiaries also participated in the Business Work and Improvement Course (BWIC), equipping them with essential entrepreneurial and business management skills to help ensure the sustainability of their livelihood ventures.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – In support of the administration's commitment to bring government services closer to workers and employers, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cagayan Field Office, under the leadership of Provincial Director Laura B. Diciano, participated as a resource institution during the Provincial Tourism Coordination Meeting organized by the Cagayan Provincial Tourism Office on July 28, 2026, at the Tuguegarao City Tourism Office.

The activity, aligned with the vision of Secretary Francisco N. Tolentino, gathered more than 35 restaurant owners, managers, and tourism representatives, with two participants from every municipality in Cagayan, to strengthen collaboration and promote sustainable tourism.

Representing DOLE Cagayan, Ms. Icetel Rose Dela Cruz discussed Workers' Welfare, Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), emphasizing the importance of ensuring safe and healthy workplaces, protecting workers' rights, and complying with labor standards and service charge distribution, enabling restaurant owners and managers to better understand their responsibilities under existing labor laws., while Mr. Ramoncito Liggayu presented the Single Entry Approach (SEnA) and DOLE assistance programs, including Benteng Bigas Meron Na (BBM).

The activity concluded with an open forum, allowing participants to discuss labor-related concerns and strengthen compliance with labor standards in the tourism industry.

Through initiatives like this, DOLE Cagayan continues to promote decent work, workers' protection, and stronger partnerships with tourism stakeholders in support of a competitive, inclusive, and sustainable tourism industry in the Province of Cagayan. # #

| ₱𝟯𝟬𝟬 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗽𝗼𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗯𝗮?

Tanong:

Isang taon po ako sa kumpanya bago nag-resign. Ayon sa computation nila, ₱300 lamang ang makukuha kong back pay dahil ibinawas daw ang mga absent ko. Tama po ba iyon kahit natapos ko ang render period ko?

Sagot:

Hindi agad masasabi kung tama o mali ang ₱300 nang hindi nakikita ang kumpletong computation ng final pay.

Ang final pay, na karaniwang tinatawag na “back pay,” ay maaaring binubuo ng hindi pa nababayarang sahod, prorated 13th month pay, leave conversion kung naaangkop, at iba pang benepisyong dapat matanggap, bawas ang mga legal at wastong deductions.

Karaniwan itong dapat maibigay sa loob ng 30 araw mula sa separation date, maliban kung may mas favorable na company policy.

Maaaring makaapekto ang unpaid absences sa final pay at prorated 13th month pay dahil nakabatay ang huli sa kabuuang basic salary na aktuwal na kinita sa loob ng taon. Gayunman, dapat malinaw kung paano ginawa ang deductions at kung naibawas na ba ang mga absence sa mga naunang payroll.

Ang pagkumpleto ng render period ay pagtupad sa notice requirement para sa resignation, ngunit hindi nito awtomatikong ginagawang bayad ang mga araw na hindi pinasukan.

Ano ang dapat gawin?

Humingi sa employer o HR ng written at itemized computation ng final pay. Dapat nakalista rito ang lahat ng earnings, bilang ng araw na hindi bayad, benefits tulad ng prorated 13th month pay at monetization ng hindi nagamit na Service Incentive Leave, at iba pang deductions.

Kapag hindi malinaw ang computation o naniniwalang may kulang, maaaring magsumite ng Request for Assistance sa pinakamalapit na DOLE office o online sa DOLE Assistance for Request Management System sa arms.dole.gov.ph. Maaari ring tumawag sa DOLE Hotlines na makikita sa comments section.

Tuguegarao City-The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cagayan Field Office successfully completed its Internal ISO Audit today as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen its Quality Management System and improve public service delivery.

The audit was led by the Internal Audit Team Leader Ms. Rocialyn B. Jallorina, together with Ms. Eva Hazel Accad, Ms. Rachel P. Calayan, and Ms. Mary Joy Calabazaron. The team conducted a comprehensive assessment of the office's programs and processes to verify compliance with ISO standards and identify opportunities for continual improvement.

Program managers and process owners participated in the audit by presenting documented procedures, records, and operational practices aligned with the agency's quality objectives.

The successful completion of the activity reflects DOLE Cagayan Field Office's commitment to transparency, accountability, operational excellence, and good governance, ensuring the delivery of efficient, responsive, and quality services to its clients.

Kabi-kabilang payout sa ilalim ng Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) ang isinagawa ng Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Cagayan Field Office simula Martes, Hulyo 14, at nagpapatuloy hanggang ngayong Huwebes, Hulyo 16.

Matapos ang 20 araw na pagtatrabaho, unti-unti nang tinatanggap ng mga benepisyaryong binubuo ng mga mag-aaral sa kolehiyo, senior high school, at mga out-of-school youth ang kanilang sahod sa pamamagitan ng DOLE Cagayan Field Office sa pangunguna ni Provincial Head Laura B. Diciano.

Ang SPES ay isa sa mga programa ng DOLE na naglalayong mabigyan ng pansamantalang hanapbuhay ang mga kabataan habang sila ay nagpapatuloy sa kanilang pag-aaral, kasabay ng pagbibigay ng karagdagang suporta sa kanilang mga pangangailangang pinansyal.

Patuloy na isasagawa ang mga payout sa iba pang munisipalidad sa lalawigan ng Cagayan sa mga sususnod pang araw.
