Every second counts during an emergency—and being prepared can make all the difference.

Under the leadership of OIC Regional Director Lorna B. Binarao and OIC Assistant Regional Director Reymarie T. De La Cruz, the Bureau of Internal Revenue – Revenue Region No. 3 Cagayan Valley successfully conducted its 2-Day Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for members of the Disaster Control Group on July 1–2, 2026.

The training enhanced the participants' knowledge and practical skills in delivering immediate life-saving interventions during emergency situations, reinforcing the Revenue Region's commitment to strengthening emergency preparedness and response.

BIR RR3 Cagayan Valley extends its sincere appreciation to the Department of Health – Cagayan Valley Center for Health Development, Health Emergency Management Unit (DOH RO2 CVCHD–HEMU) for serving as the resource speakers and facilitators. Their expertise and dedication played a vital role in the successful conduct of this training.

BIR Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza leads the National Oplan Kandado 2026 at the National Command Center in Revenue Region No. 7A in Quezon City. This year’s Oplan Kandado is a nationwide compliance and enforcement initiative under the guidance of "Assistance First to Comply. Enforcement Only When Necessary."

“Every closure carried out today should have come only after the Bureau had extended assistance, explained the taxpayer's obligations, and provided every reasonable opportunity to comply. Only after those efforts have failed does enforcement become necessary,” Commissioner Mendoza said.

Led by DC Herminia L. Dimalanta, the personnel of the Document Processing Division actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Clean-Up Drive under the GAD Initiative. The activity highlights how collective effort and shared responsibility can make a significant difference in maintaining a cleaner, safer, and more organized work environment.

The Clean-Up Drive also reinforces compliance with ISO 7S principles, fostering workplace safety, cleanliness, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
