As part of its commitment to advancing agriculture by strengthening agribusiness enterprises, the DA โ Philippine Rural Development Project (DA-PRDP) Cagayan Valley, through its I-REAP Component, continues to work toward the realization of rice and banana enterprise subprojects in the region.
The DA-PRDP National Project Coordination Office (NPCO), Project Support Office North Luzon (PSO North Luzon), and Regional Project Coordination Office 2 (RPCO 2) are conducting a Joint Technical Review (JTR) from July 7โ10, 2026, to review and finalize the business plans for two I-REAP Scale-Up subprojects, the Rice Consolidation, Processing, and Marketing Enterprise of Holy Spirit Mission MPC in Alicia, Isabela, and the Banana Consolidation, Processing, and Marketing Enterprise of EDCOR MPC in San Guillermo, Isabela.
The JTR aims to ensure the quality, compliance, and readiness of these subprojects before presentation to the Regional Project Advisory Board (RPAB).
The NPCO team is composed of representatives from the I-REAP, I-BUILD, GGU, and Economics Unit, while the PSO North Luzon team is represented by the I-REAP team led by Ms. Jamesiah Badua-Lompero, providing full technical support throughout the review.
Leading the RPCO 2 are RED and Project Director Rose Mary G. Aquino and DPD Kay S. Olivas, who, in their messages on the first day of the JTR, challenged the participating teams to fast-track the completion of all remaining requirements/compliances to accelerate the implementation of the enterprise subprojects.
RPCO 2 team is composed of the I-REAP Component, led by Ms. Ma. Rosario Paccarangan, I-PLAN and I-BUILD Component, and all Units.
Looking ahead, these initiatives are expected to turn into concrete opportunities that will improve farmers' income and enhance the competitiveness of Cagayan Valley's agriculture.
