The 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐈𝐈 (𝐎𝐒𝐇𝐂 𝐑𝐄𝐔 𝐈𝐈)successfully conducted the 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 in Region II on October 7, 2026, at NGN Gran Hotel, Tuguegarao City.

The meeting brought together key OSH stakeholders to discuss and strengthen occupational safety and health initiatives across the region.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan – The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 2 welcomed back Jesus Elpidio B. Atal Jr. as Regional Director, effective October 1, 2026.

Atal Jr. previously served as Regional Director of DOLE Region 2 before his reassignment to the Cordillera Administrative Region in July 2026.

His return marks the continuation of his leadership in advancing the Department’s programs and services on employment facilitation, workers’ protection, livelihood, and other labor and employment concerns across Cagayan Valley.

Atal Jr. resumes leadership of the regional office alongside Assistant Regional Director Atty. Remedios T. Vegim-Teves, division chiefs, field office heads, and the rest of the DOLE Region 2 workforce in delivering responsive and quality public service to workers, employers, and other stakeholders in the region. #

This training aims to equip participants with the basic knowledge and skills to perform safety audits, assessments, and analysis of hazards and risks in the construction industry; determining appropriate control measures, and develop and implement OSH policies and programs.
