KANLAON VOLCANO BULLETIN

Alert Level: 3 (Intensified Unrest / Magmatic Unrest)

ERUPTION: 1 explosive eruption (3 minutes and 55 seconds long)
ACTIVITY: 1 Pyroclastic Density Currents (approximately 2 to 3.4 kilometers distance travelled from the crater)
SEISMICITY: 20 volcanic earthquakes
SULFUR DIOXIDE FLUX: 1,669 tonnes / day (09 December 2024, before the eruption)
PLUME: 4000 meters tall eruption column; Voluminous emission; west and south-southwest drift
GROUND DEFORMATION: Volcano edifice is inflated

REMARKS: Entry to the four (4) kilometer Permanent Danger Zone (PDZ) and flying of any aircraft close to the volcano are not allowed.
