Kagahapong adlawa, nagpahigayon og emergency meeting ang Ubay Municipal Health Office (UMHO) uban sa atong Municipal Mayor ug Municipal Administrator aron hisgutan ang initial plan ug mga pamaagi sa pag-atubang ug pag-address sa nagkataas ug emerging nga mga kaso sa dengue dinhi sa atong lungsod.

Sa pagkakaron, ang Ubay naa sa Top 3 sa dengue cases, uban sa 2 ka recorded deaths. Tungod niini, gikinahanglan ang hiniusang paningkamot sa atong Local Government Unit, health workers, barangay officials, ug matag pamilya aron mapugngan ang dugang nga pagdaghan sa kaso.

Gipahinumdoman kita sa 4S Kontra Dengue:

🦟 Search and Destroy – Pangitaa ug wagtanga ang mga breeding sites sa lamok.
🛡️ Self-Protection – Panalipdi ang kaugalingon batok sa kagat sa lamok.
🏥 Seek Early Consultation – Kung adunay hilanat o mga sintomas, konsultaha dayon ang health center o doktor.
🌫️ Support Fogging/Misting When Necessary – Suportahi ang fogging/misting kung gikinahanglan ug gitakda sa health authorities.

Ug labaw sa tanan, atoang palig-onon ang 4 O’Clock Habit. 🕓
Matag alas-4 sa hapon, mag-search and destroy ta sa mga posibleng breeding sites sa atong kaugalingong tugkaran.

👉 Ang pagpugong sa dengue magsugod sa matag panimalay.
Sa atong tagsa-tagsa ka tugkaran, atong sugdan ang pagpakigbatok sa dengue. 🦟🚫

Maghiusa kita aron mapugngan ang dengue ug mapanalipdan ang kinabuhi sa matag Ubayanon.

Mga minahal namong ginikanan, ayaw kahadlok sa MR Vaccine. 💉❤️

Ang MR (Measles-Rubella) vaccine kabahin na sa atong routine immunization program ug usa kini sa importanteng paagi aron mapanalipdan ang atong mga anak batok sa tigdas ug rubella.

Dako usab ang among pasalamat sa atong mga eksperto sa medisina nga naghatag sa ilang suporta sa atong MR-SIA—sama nila Dr. Vincent Maximillian Entero, Pediatrician; Dr. Honey Talisic, Pediatrician; ug Dr. Nelson Elle, Medical Center Chief sa Don Emilio del Valle Memorial Hospital.

Ang ilang suporta nagpakita nga kini nga kampanya nakabase sa sakto ug siyentipikong impormasyon.

Busa, mga ginikanan, ayaw tuo sa mga fake news ug impormasyon nga walay kasaligan nga basehan. Pangutana sa atong mga health workers ug doctors kung adunay mga kabalaka o pangutana.

💉❤️ MR-SIA 2026 LAUNCHING | BARANGAY BIABAS, UBAY ❤️

Today, August 10, 2026, we officially launched the Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) in Barangay Biabas, Ubay.

From August 10–28, 2026, we are bringing this campaign closer to our communities because every child deserves protection from measles and rubella. Vaccination is one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can protect our children, our families, and our community from vaccine-preventable diseases. ❤️

Our heartfelt gratitude to LGU Ubay, headed by Hon. Mayor Constantino H. Reyes, Vice Mayor Hon. Atty. Kim Fuentes, and Hon. Dr. Vincent Maximillian Entero, Kagawad on Health, for their unwavering support.

Thank you to our valued partners from Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital, headed by Dr. Nelson Elle, our NGO partner Rotary Club of Ubay, headed by Ma’am Ines Abay-Abay and represented by Past President Ma’am Oliva Galleto, and our partners from the Provincial Health Office—Ma’am Fritzie Vallentos, Ma’am Lucy Aguiman, and Dr. Gladives C. 𝓤𝓷𝓲𝓽𝓮𝓭 𝓲𝓷 𝓸𝓷𝓮 𝓰𝓸𝓪𝓵: 𝓹𝓻𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓻𝔂 𝓬𝓱𝓲𝓵𝓭 𝓲𝓷 𝓤𝓫𝓪𝔂. 💙💉

Last July 29, 2026, the Department of Health Central Office, together with UNICEF Philippines, visited the three Rural Health Units of Ubay as part of the preparations for the upcoming Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA), which will be conducted from August 10 to August 28, 2026.

The visit gave our health teams the opportunity to assess our readiness, review our plans, and receive valuable insights and recommendations to further strengthen our MR-SIA implementation. More importantly, the three RHUs came together to strategize, share best practices, and ensure that we are fully prepared to deliver a successful immunization campaign across the municipality.

These photos also reflect the strong support of the Local Government Unit of Ubay, especially Mayor Constantino H. Reyes, whose commitment to improving childhood vaccination continues to inspire and strengthen our efforts.

With the guidance of our national partners and the support of our local government, we move forward as One Ubay, ready to protect every eligible child through MR-SIA 2026.
