ALAM N’YO BA? | Hanggang Nobyembre 2028 ang termino ng mga kasalukuyang SK officials

Sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 12326, itinakda sa limang taon ang termino ng mga halal na opisyal ng barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan (SK).

Dahil dito, ang susunod na Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) ay gaganapin sa ikalawang Lunes ng Nobyembre 2028.

Hinihikayat ang mga kasalukuyang SK officials na gamitin ang karagdagang panahon upang:

✅ Maipagpatuloy ang mga programa at proyektong tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng kabataan;
✅ Mas mapalakas ang pakikilahok ng kabataan sa mga gawaing pangkomunidad; at
✅ Patuloy na gampanan ang kanilang mga tungkulin at pananagutan sa kani-kanilang komunidad.

Layunin nitong matiyak ang tuloy-tuloy na paglilingkod at pagpapatupad ng mga angkop na programa para sa kapakanan ng kabataan.

The Municipal El Niño Task Force of the Municipality of Umingan held its meeting on October 7, 2026 at the New Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, Municipal Building, Umingan, Pangasinan.

The meeting focused on assessing the municipality’s preparedness measures in anticipation of the potential impacts of the El Niño Phenomenon. It also provided a venue to strengthen coordination among concerned offices and agencies, identify priority actions and resource requirements, and discuss planned interventions.

Hon. Atty. Chris Evert Tadeo-Leynes presided over the meeting and was attended by MLGOO Jennifer Reyes, department heads and members of task force of thr municipality.

October 7, 2026 - MLGOO Jennifer Reyes and LGOO II Jan Robert Echavaria attended the LIGA ng mga Barangay Meeting held at the OBA Session Hall, Liga Building, Umingan, Pangasinan.

The meeting focused on the discussion of the DILG MC No. 2026-012 for the Conduct of 2nd Semester Barangay Assembly Day and DILG MC. No. 2026-038 or the Implementation Guidelines on Bawat Barangay Makinabang Presidential Assistance under Socio-Civic Project Funds Project.

The said meeting was attended by Punong Barangays and Barangay Treasurers of the Municipality of Umingan.

LCPC AND LCAT-VAWC Joint Meeting for the 3rd Quarter of 2026

October 7, 2026 - The Municipal Council for the Protection of Children and Municipal Committee on Anti-Trafficiking and Violence Against Women and their Children held its 3rd Quarter Joint Meeting for CY 2026 presided by Hon. Atty. Chris Evert Tadeo-Leynes at the Old SB Session Hall, Municipal Hall, Umingan, Pangasinan to discuss updates on the implementation of the LGUs programs for children.

The meeting also included the updates and reports on CAR, CICL, VAWC and other related cases and plans for the upcoming Children’s Month Celebration.

MLGOO Jennifer Reyes and LGOO II Jan Robert Echavaria attended the said meeting to discuss the results of the 2026 LCPC Performance Assessment.

The Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) of Local Government Unit (LGU) of Umingan conducted its meeting on October 6, 2026, at the Old Session Hall, Municipal Building, Umingan, Pangasinan.

The meeting served as a venue to discuss updates on the implementation and monitoring of local projects funded under the development fund of the LGU, assess their progress, and identify concerns requiring appropriate action.

The meeting was attended by MLGOO Jennifer Reyes and LGOO II Jan Robert Echavaria.

Governance begins where the people are. 🇵🇭

Every October, the nation celebrates Local Government Month pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 63, s. 1992. The observance commemorates the enactment of Republic Act No. 7160, or the Local Government Code of 1991, which strengthened local autonomy and expanded the role of LGUs in delivering services and advancing local development.

More than three decades later, its vision continues. Strong local governments bring public service closer to communities. They create more opportunities for people to participate in governance and help ensure that development responds to local needs.

This October, DILG Pangasinan celebrates the continuing work of strengthening local governance and building empowered communities.
