𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗚.

The Balangay National High School hosted the 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗬 today, formally recognizing the conclusion of one leadership term and the beginning of another.
The occasion honored the remarkable leadership of 𝑫𝒓. 𝑺𝒐𝒍 𝑺. 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒐, as she formally turned over the helm to 𝑫𝒓. 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑻. 𝑪𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒂𝒍.

The ceremony was presided over by our Public Schools District Supervisor, 𝑫𝒓. 𝑨𝒍𝒇𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒐 𝑺. 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒕 , together with the esteemed school heads of the Urbiztondo District.

The celebration was made even more meaningful by the presence of the faculty and staff of 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, who accompanied Dr. Cristobal in a heartfelt show of gratitude and unwavering support. Likewise, the 𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 family paid tribute to Dr. Prado, whose visionary and transformative leadership has left an enduring legacy in the school.

For Dr. Cristobal, this is not entirely unfamiliar ground. He once served as the principal of BNHS, albeit briefly, making today's turnover less of a first arrival and more of a meaningful homecoming. Answering the call of duty once again, he willingly accepted the responsibility to lead the BNHS community into its next chapter.

As the song beautifully reminds us, "𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈'𝒔 𝒆𝒏𝒅." Today's ceremony embodied that truth. It was both a graceful farewell and a hopeful welcome—a passing of the baton where one legacy is entrusted to another, ensuring that the pursuit of quality education continues uninterrupted.

As 𝐃𝐫. 𝐒𝐨𝐥 𝐒. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨 and 𝐃𝐫. 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐮𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐓. 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 assume their new posts on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, we celebrate not an ending, but the continuity of service, leadership, and purpose. In the Department of Education, destinations may change, but the mission remains steadfast—to shape lives, inspire minds, and serve with excellence. Paths may diverge, yet they have a remarkable way of crossing again.

A 𝑺𝑶𝑳𝒊𝒅 Leader 👩‍🏫

This is how Balangay National High School knows 𝑫𝒓. 𝑺𝒐𝒍 𝑺. 𝑷𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒐—not merely as a school head, but as a SOLid Leader whose name has become synonymous with vision, valor, and veritable transformation.

She is the kind of leader who does not wait for opportunities to arrive—she architects them. With a mind that conceives possibilities and a heart that pursues progress, she has proven that leadership is not just a position to occupy, but a purpose to fulfill.

Throughout her stewardship, Dr. Prado has woven a remarkable narrative of innovation. She turned aspirations into accomplishments, forging partnerships and opening doors that brought meaningful projects to BNHS—from improved facilities to learning spaces where dreams could take root and flourish.

She is also the brilliant mind behind “Balangay Mabilabilay,” a phrase that perfectly encapsulates her vision of a school that continues to thrive, endure, and rise.

But beyond the titles, projects, and accolades is the Dr. Prado that the BNHS family fondly knows—the woman with a green thumb who transforms gardens into masterpieces, a leader whose office is never devoid of laughter and, quite possibly, something delicious to share. Her witty entries have become little literary gems—sprinkled with wisdom, humor, and her unmistakable flair for words.

She has mastered the delicate art of leadership: firm when excellence demands it, compassionate when people need it, and humorous when moments call for a little lightness. Behind every reminder, every decision, and every challenge she presented was a profound desire to see BNHS become the best version of itself.

As she closes this chapter of her journey with us, Dr. Sol S. Prado leaves behind more than accomplishments—she leaves an indelible imprint, a legacy etched not only on the walls of BNHS but also in the memories and hearts of the people she has inspired.
And so, we do not simply say goodbye. We celebrate a remarkable woman, a transformative leader, and a true SOLid force of change.

Pursuant to Section 7 of Presidential Decree No. 491, otherwise known as the Nutrition Act of the Philippines, Balangay National High School, under the leadership of School Principal III, Dr. Sol S. Prado, proudly joins the celebration of Nutrition Month 2026 with the sub-theme: "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan!"

As part of this year's celebration, BNHS proudly presents its Nutrition Month Pagbati Challenge. Together with our dedicated teaching and non-teaching personnel and learners, we stand united in promoting proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and environmental stewardship.

Through this challenge and meaningful activities—including the Poster and Slogan Making Contest, Tree Planting Activity, and Gulayan sa Paaralan Program—we reaffirm our commitment to building a healthier, stronger, and more sustainable community where everyone plays a vital role in achieving better nutrition for all.
