It all started on August 25, 2003 when the BFP and LGU Valderrama, Antique entered into Memorandum of Agreement through SSUPT ENRIQUE C LINSANGAN, DSC, MPA-BFP and Valderrama Mayor Mary Joyce M. Roquero, whereas, the Bureau of Fire Protection will assign fire pump crew/s to take charge of the actual supervision over handling the operation and maintenance of the pump. The Local Government Unit shal
l provide site where the pump can be kept safe and ready for use and also to provide the manpower for the operation of the pump. A Municipal Ordinance Number 01-2006 was made in the proponent of Mayor Mary Joyce M. Roquero, an ordinance enacting the Municipality of Valderrama, pursuant to the Provision of P.D 1185, known as the Fire Code of the Philippines, the Fire Service in Valderrama, Antique was activated. The first Fire Station of the Municipality of Valderrama, Antique was in front of the Municipal Plaza beside the Old Public Market, Brgy. When the DILG thru Bureau of Fire Protection gave the Municipality of Valderrama, Antique a Fire Truck in the efforts of then PCSO Director Raymundo T. Roquero and Municipal Mayor Hon. Joyce M. Roquero, it was also the same time that the Bureau of Fire Protection, Valderrama Fire Station was activated. The station has 1 fire truck with the model of ISUZU ANOS NQR and the Water Pump Engine of the fire truck was called the KOHLER Fire Pump Motor. The 1st Acting Municipal Fire Marshal was SFO2 Diosdado C Macuja Jr. As of this moment, the present and the 7th Acting Municipal Fire Marshal is SFO4 Danny R Villasis assigned last 24 of January 2020 up to present. The Fire Station was then transferred at a new location last September 5, 2019 and now it is with the PNP and MDRRMC Valderrama. At the moment, Valderrama Fire Station is located at the New Public Market, Brgy. Takas, Valderrama, Antique. The station under the leadership of SFO4 Danny R Villasis has 8 Fire Officers that continues to spread the awareness about Fire Safety and Suppression to the people around the area of responsibility, maintain and inspect the safety of establishments and also ready to respond to any emergencies be it natural or man-made disasters. As time passes by, improvements have been made. The first SB Resolution No. 29-2016 “Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor to enter into a Deed of Lot Donation with the Bureau of Fire Protection for the Donation of an Area of 500 square meter located at the New Public Market for the construction of Valderrama Municipal Fire Station” by former Vice Mayor Hon. Josefino Q. Castillon signed last August 24, 2016 under the leadership of former Municipal Mayor Atty. Jocelyn L. Posadas was done but not materialized in their terms of office. Then in the new term of Municipal Mayor Hon. Mary Joyce M. Roquero, she requested and drafted another SB Resolution Number 40-2020 “Resolution Authorizing the Municipal Mayor Hon. Mayor Mary Joyce M. Roquero for and in behalf of the Municipality of Valderrama to Donate a Portion of a Parcel of Land with Lot Number 7731-B with an Area of 500 square meter to the Bureau of Fire Protection for the construction of Valderrama Municipal Fire Station” was approved and signed by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Christopher B. Maguad as the Presiding Officer last June 10, 2020. Immediately upon the approval of the said SB Resolution, Valderrama Fire Station thru the help of Hon. Roquero, processed the required documentary requirements such Tax Declaration of the Land, Lot Description and Sketch Plan of the Land and was submitted to the Office of the Provincial Fire Marshal last June 23, 2020 with the Deed of Donation. The Deed of Donation was signed and notarized last October 16, 2020 which will be the basis for the construction of the Valderrama Fire Station in the future. On the 3rd of September 2021, Hon. Roquero personally handed over the Original Certificate of Land Title of Valderrama Fire Station to FO1 Janssen T Pon-an, a BFP Personnel assigned at Valderrama Fire Station, whom made necessary documents and other pertaining data in the success of the Deed of Donation and Land Titling of Valderrama Fire Station with the help and assistance of the beloved Mayor. As of this moment, Valderrama Fire Station is still located at the Evacuation Center, Valderrama Public Market, Brgy. Takas, Valderrama, Antique and waiting for the ground breaking and construction of the Typical Fire Station for Valderrama, Antique.
