Wrapping up yesterdayโ€™s massive operations, Team 3 took on an incredible physical challenge to reach Barangay Bakiang, one of our 7 GIDA (Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas) barangays. Despite the threat of bad weather, our dedicated health workers hiked for nearly 2 hours just to bring the life-saving MR-SIA campaign to the community!

And we didn't stop at vaccines! Joining the trek was our assigned dentist, making sure our remote families received complete care with essential oral health services right alongside our immunization efforts.

We are deeply touched by the overwhelming dedication of the barangay officials for their warm accommodation, and most especially the parents. Even with their homes located an hour away from our temporary fixed site, these parents walked the distance and went out of their wayโ€”dressing their children nicely and tidilyโ€”to show just how much this health activity means to them. Truly, our parents are the real heroes here!

That heart-warming milestone brings us to 13 down, with 9 more barangays to go! Keep posted on your schedules as we continue pushing through every mountain and valley in Valderrama!

Yesterday was an extra busy day with 4 out of 5 teams deployed! Because high and dangerous river conditions prevent our health workers from crossing safely to the upland barangays, we brought the mission to them.

Our teams successfully conducted a sweep yesterday to vaccinate residents from Barangay Busog and Barangay Culyat who are currently staying in the lowland!

Thank you to our dedicated frontliners, local leaders, BHWs, and parents for making sure our little superheroes (ages 6โ€“59 months) still got their vital MR-SIA vaccines and Vitamin A drops.

That double-sweep milestone brings us straight to 12 down, 10 to go!

Yesterday, our health teams kept the momentum blazing by bringing the life-saving MR-SIA campaign straight to Barangay Takas, completing our coverage of the two barangays that compose the Poblacion!

Huge thanks to our local leaders, dedicated BHWs, and parents for bringing out our little superheroes (ages 6โ€“59 months) to receive their vital vaccines and Vitamin A drops.
