VCFS ALIGNS OPERATIONAL PRIORITIES DURING OCTOBER REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING

The meeting gathered officers, section and unit chiefs, station commanders, and designated focal persons to address operational concerns, upcoming activities, and priority directives requiring coordinated action across the station.

During the meeting, FSUPT ALQUEZA relayed the key guidance of the Department of Interior and the Local Government Secretary Juanito Victor C Remulla and BFP Officer-in-Charge FCSUPT WILBERTO RICO NEIL A KWAN TIU, following the recent BFP Command Conference. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening operational preparedness and maintaining heightened vigilance in anticipation of El NiΓ±o-related conditions, which may increase the risk and incidence of fires. Personnel were reminded to sustain readiness, reinforce preventive measures, and ensure timely and effective response within their respective areas of responsibility.

Preparations for the upcoming VCFS Sportsfest and Valenzuela City Barangay Fire and Rescue Summit 2026 were also discussed, with emphasis on clear responsibilities, proper coordination, and the timely completion of necessary preparations.

Through the regular monthly meeting, directives from higher headquarters are translated into concrete station-level actions, ensuring that personnel remain aligned, prepared, and responsive to both operational requirements and the evolving needs of the communities they serve.

The audit aims to validate the station’s performance during the 3rd Quarter in the implementation of mandatory and support programs under the Obligasyon sa Bayan Ligtas na Pamayanan (OLP), through the review and evaluation of accomplishment reports and supporting documents.

The activity covered the Program Coverage and Fidelity and Operational Quality and Discipline, including the quarterly target and accomplishment evaluations for the months of July, August, and September, as well as the necessary supporting documents and reports.

Through this initiative, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to uphold accountability, operational excellence, and effective implementation of programs in pursuit of quality public service.

The session gave the students an opportunity to learn and practice basic life-saving skills, including how to respond during emergencies and provide immediate assistance to a person experiencing cardiac arrest or other life-threatening situations.

Through hands-on practice and active participation, the students gained skills that may one day help them respond with confidence when someone’s life is on the line. Every second matters, and knowing how to act can help save a life.
