9 Newly elected representatives from Primary Cooperatives completed the Executive Committee of VCDC during the Regular General Assembly and Election of Officers for the year 2026-2028 held last April 8, 2026 at the Alert Multi Purpose Hall. Prior to the election, Senior CDS and Head of Regulatory Unit Ms. Ma. Flordeliza Chu, Conducted an orientation regarding MC no. 2023-18 or the GUIDELINES GOVERNING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A SPECIAL PROGRAM ON MERGER AND CONSOLIDATION FOR MICRO AND SMALL COOPERATIVES AND GRANTING INCENTIVES THEREOF. Ms. Chu reiterated the implementation of merging of Large and Small coops in the form of Big brother - Small brother program. Consecutively, guidelines on the application of WIN ENTREPRENEUR PROGRAM was discussed by CDS Ms. Grace Torres of CDA-NCR. Questions were raised for clarification as to who were qualified to apply for the said program, how to apply and when it is going to be implemented.

A successful Enhanced Handholding Caravan was held last April 6, 2026 at the Alert Multi-Purpose Building for all Primary Cooperatives here in Valenzuela. Graced by non other than the Regional Director of CDA-NCR Sir Pedro Defensor and his team together with ACDI who extend their services through bookkeeping and auditing, the event yielded 10 COC's (Certificate of Compliance) to Cooperatives who participated in the said Caravan. VCDO would like to acknowledge the efforts of CDA-NCR and ACDI for reaching out with our cooperatives and providing assistance for them to acquire their COC.

The Valenzuela Cooperative Development Council (VCDC) held a Regular Meeting last March 10, 2026 at the 2nd floor, Valenzuela Trade Center. Discussed and Approved by the Council were the plans and programs for the year 2026.

January 26, 2026 was a bittersweet day for VCDO as they sent off former CDA CAMANAVA Specialists Ms. Perlita Solis and Ms. Christine Del Rosario and Welcoming the new CDS team Sir Rene Mendoza, Ms. Hellany Moreno and Ms. Marietta Bagundang.

VCDO-OIC Ms. Josephine Osea commended the 2 outgoing CDS for their services and assistance to Valenzuela Cooperatives.

Likewise, She welcomes the new CDS team with heartfelt enthusiasm and hopes in working hand-in-hand to enhance the support needed by the Cooperatives.

The Valenzuela Cooperative Development Office together with the Valenzuela Cooperative Development Council, CDA-NCR representative, DTI, VCMC and Housing Resettlement Office conducted their annual Planning last February 3, 2026 at the KARTUNS AT KOMIKS CAFE in Maysan Valenzuela.

The event was held to plot plans, programs and activities aligned to help upbuild primary cooperatives for the year 2026. Institutional development and strengthening and sustainability programs for cooperatives were also discussed during the said meeting.

In celebration of cooperative month, a Health awareness forum conducted on October 5, 2023 attended by 50 individuals from 19 cooperatives

This forum not only fostered a sense of unity among cooperatives but also empowered individuals to take proactive steps towards maintaining their health
