IN PHOTOS: The City Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO)–Consumer Welfare Unit (CWU), together with the City Agriculture Office, conducted a rice price monitoring activity today, June 11, 2026, at the wet markets of District 1 and District 2.

The activity aimed to observe the prevailing market prices of both local and imported rice and support ongoing efforts to promote transparency in the sale of basic commodities. It also served as a means of tracking price movements and market conditions affecting rice products available to consumers.

IN PHOTOS: In preparation for the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027, the Consumer Welfare Unit (CWU) conducted a school supplies price monitoring activity in selected retail establishments across Valenzuela City on June 2–3, 2026.

The activity aimed to verify compliance with the Department of Trade and Industry's (DTI) Suggested Retail Prices (SRP), promote fair business practices, and ensure adherence to consumer protection regulations.

The CWU visited selected supermarkets, department stores, bookstores, and retail establishments in both District 1 and District 2 to monitor the prices of commonly purchased school supplies, including notebooks, pad papers, ballpens, pencils, and other essential learning materials, while also checking the proper display of prices and the availability of school-related products in preparation for the opening of classes.

TINGNAN: Ininspeksyon ng City Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions Office (LEDIPO)–Consumer Welfare Unit (CWU), Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO), City Business Audit Team (CBAT), at Task Force Disiplina (TFD) ang iba’t ibang LPG establishments sa lungsod noong Lunes, Abril 13, 2026.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay upang tiyakin na ang presyo ng bawat LPG product sa lungsod ay ibinebenta nang tama at tapat. Nagsagawa ang inspection team ng validation procedures tulad ng price verification, weighing checks, at compliance reminders—lalo na ang pagsunod sa regulatory standards sa presyo, integridad, at kalidad ng bawat produkto.
