As highlighted in the 2026 State of the Nation Address (SONA) Primer of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Anti-Red Tape Authority's Electronic Complaint Management System (eCMS) continues to strengthen transparent, efficient, and citizen-centered governance.

Launched on September 10, 2025, the eCMS is an end-to-end digital platform that streamlines the filing, routing, tracking, and resolution of complaints against government agencies, making public service more accessible and responsive for every Filipino.

Integrated with the eGovPH Super App, the eCMS empowers citizens to conveniently raise concerns and help promote a more accountable, efficient, and corruption-free bureaucracy.

Together, let us build a government that is mas mabilis, mas maayos, at mas tapat sa paglilingkod.

𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐔𝐄𝐋𝐀 𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐔𝐑𝐒 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐎𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐒 𝐈𝐓𝐒 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐁𝐎𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

The Veruela Entrepreneurs Association (VEA) successfully conducted its First Board of Officers Meeting on August 6, 2026, at the Sangguniang Bayan Session Hall, marking an important milestone toward the formal organization and institutionalization of the municipality’s entrepreneurial sector.

The meeting was presided over by the Association’s President, with the Business Permits and Licensing Unit (BPLU) and the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (LEDIP) Unit providing technical guidance and facilitation in the drafting of the Association’s organizational documents. The activity was facilitated by Gel Archie V. Briones, BPLO and LEDIPO Designate, with the assistance of the Municipal Livelihood and Training Coordinator, Rey S. Escribir, and with the support of Hon. Eric P. Plaza, Sangguniang Bayan Member and Chairperson of the Committee on Commerce, Trade and Industry.

During the meeting, the officers discussed the following agenda:

* ✅ Drafting of the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws
* ✅ Review and approval of the Membership Application Form
* ✅ Orientation on the requirements and process for SEC registration
* ✅ Planning of future programs, activities, and organizational initiatives
* ✅ Other matters concerning the growth and sustainability of the Association

The meeting demonstrated the collective commitment of the Association’s officers to establish a strong, organized, and legally recognized organization that will represent and advance the interests of entrepreneurs in the Municipality of Veruela. Through the continued technical assistance of the Local Government Unit, the Association is taking meaningful steps toward strengthening entrepreneurship, promoting business development, and contributing to the municipality’s local economic growth.

Empowering MSMEs Through Digital Inclusion

One of the highlights of the 2026 MSME Development Week was the hands-on assistance provided by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Caraga in introducing the eGovPH App to participants.

During the activity, a DICT representative patiently assisted a participant in downloading, installing, and exploring the features of the application on her mobile phone. The step-by-step demonstration allowed her to experience firsthand how the app provides convenient access to various government services anytime and anywhere, making transactions more efficient without the need for multiple office visits.

More than just teaching the use of a mobile application, the activity emphasized the importance of digital inclusion—ensuring that everyone, regardless of age or level of digital literacy, has the opportunity to benefit from government innovations. Through simple and personalized guidance, participants gained confidence in using technology as part of their everyday lives.

This initiative reflects the shared commitment of the LGU Veruela and DICT Caraga to build a digitally empowered community where entrepreneurs and citizens are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. By bringing technology closer to the people, the partnership continues to strengthen the vision of creating smarter, more resilient, and future-ready MSMEs.
