🐾 8 hours of fasting is required — NO FOOD AND WATER.
🐾 Bathe your pet before the procedure.
🐾 Nursing cats and dogs are not allowed; at least 3 months after the lactation period is required.
🐾 Pet should not be taking any medication.
🐾 Senior pets 5 years old and above require CBC and Blood Chemistry 3 days before surgery.
🐾 Pet must be in good health condition.
🐾 Female pets must not be in heat or have mated prior to surgery.

VICTORIAS CITY PROMOTES VALUES, FINANCIAL LITERACY AMONG OFW CHILDREN

Children of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) participated in a Values Formation and Financial Literacy Program aimed at strengthening family values and promoting responsible financial habits at the Victorias City Aquatic Center, Pavilion II, August 29.

The activity brought together children aged 8 to 12 years old and provided interactive discussions and creative activities focused on respect, gratitude, responsibility, and appreciation for the sacrifices of their parents working abroad.

Drawing and letter-writing activities also allowed the participants to express their thoughts and appreciation for their OFW parents while encouraging meaningful communication and stronger family ties despite the distance.

The financial literacy session introduced the children to the importance of saving and developing responsible money habits at an early age. In partnership with BDO, participants were also given the opportunity to open Kiddie Savings Accounts as a practical application of the lessons discussed.

Chairperson of the Committee on OFWs/Migrant Workers Councilor Dexter Senido, joined the activity together with OWWA Region VI Chief of Programs and Services Division Rizza Joy Moldes and BDO Unibank Inc. TBG Remittance–Overseas Filipino Programs for Visayas Unit Head Ma. Paz Meso.

The initiative aimed to support the personal and emotional development of OFW children while equipping them with values and basic financial knowledge that can help guide them toward responsible decision-making. *

VICTORIAS EMPOWERS REINTEGRATED OFWS THROUGH LIVELIHOOD SKILLS TRAINING

Reintegrated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) participated in a Livelihood Skills Enhancement Training on candle-making and basic baking aimed at strengthening their livelihood opportunities and economic capacity at City Aquatic Center, Pavilion II, August 20.

The training was conducted by the City Government of Victorias in partnership with the Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC), supporting the city's efforts to provide practical livelihood opportunities for OFWs returning to their communities.

Participants received hands-on training in candle-making and basic baking, equipping them with skills that may be developed into additional sources of income and sustainable livelihood ventures.

Technology and Livelihood Development Center (TLDC) resource persons Marichelle Mate and Joseph Ralston led the training, joined by Provincial Government of Negros Occidental PDO II–Food Processing Beachie Pearl Mendieta and Administrative Clerk III April Mae Jardeliza.

Through the training, the city continues to support returning OFWs by providing skills that can help them pursue livelihood opportunities and additional sources of income. *

DSWD-UPLIFT PAYOUT EXTENDS ASSISTANCE TO ADDITIONAL VICTORIASANON FAMILIES

An additional 281 Victoriasanons received financial assistance through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Unified Package for Livelihoods, Industry, Food, and Transport (UPLIFT) Program at the Don Alejandro Acuña Yap Quiña Arts and Cultural Center, September 2.

The payout served as a continuation of the DSWD-UPLIFT assistance previously provided to qualified beneficiaries in the city from August 10 to 12, further extending support to families identified through the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) who are not beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and Walang Gutom Program.

Implemented by the DSWD–Negros Island Region (DSWD-NIR) in partnership with the City Government of Victorias, the initiative provides financial assistance to eligible families to help address immediate needs and support their economic well-being.

The activity was facilitated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by CSWD Officer Joy Reunir, RSW, with the assistance of DSWD-NIR personnel and CSWDO staff who helped ensure the orderly and efficient delivery of assistance.

The continued implementation of the UPLIFT Program reflects the National Government's efforts to expand social protection and provide timely assistance to vulnerable families in partnership with local government units. *
