The Victorias City Veterinary Office, in partnership with Biyaya Animal Care, will be conducting a LIBRE KAPON (Free Spay and Neuter Program) for 200 dogs and cats!

⚠️ IMPORTANT PRE-OPERATION GUIDELINES:
🐾 Pet must be at least 6 months old.
🐾 8 hours of fasting is required — NO FOOD AND WATER.
🐾 Bathe your pet before the procedure.
🐾 Nursing cats and dogs are not allowed; at least 3 months after the lactation period is required.
🐾 Pet should not be taking any medication.
🐾 Senior pets 5 years old and above require CBC and Blood Chemistry 3 days before surgery.
🐾 Pet must be in good health condition.
🐾 Female pets must not be in heat or have mated prior to surgery.

📢 Responsible Pet Ownership Starts With Us!🐶🐾

Lin-ay sang Negros and Sidlak Animal Welfare Ambassadress Kyla Rose Romarate shared the importance of responsible pet ownership and the city's efforts to keep both people and animals safe.

Stray dog catching is conducted to help prevent:
🐾 Road accidents
🐾 Stray dog bite incidents
🐾 Public sanitation concerns caused by stray dog waste

Impounded dogs are brought to the Victorias City Dog Shelter, where they are properly cared for and rehabilitated before being made available for adoption.

If your pet has been impounded, you may claim it by paying the ₱500 impounding fee and complying with the city's requirements.

💙 Every pet deserves a loving and responsible home. Keep your pets safe, provide proper care, and never let them roam freely.

To our valued pet owners,

Please be informed that the Program of the Victorias City Veterinary Office is POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

🐶🐱 Pet owners with confirmed Wednesday schedules need not worry—your slots will be prioritized once the new schedule is officially announced. We kindly ask that you wait for our advisory before bringing your pets for surgery. Please remember to fast your pets as instructed on the rescheduled date.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we work to provide safe and quality veterinary services.

🐷 PROTECT OUR SWINE INDUSTRY. PREVENT ASF! 🚫

African Swine Fever (ASF) remains a serious threat to our hog industry, but together, we can keep Victorias City ASF-free through responsible action and strict compliance.

📌 Know the 8 Key Provisions of Executive Order No. 26-23, Series of 2026:
✅ Regulate the movement of live swine
✅ Follow proper slaughterhouse operations
✅ Ensure meat establishments comply with food safety standards
✅ Report suspected ASF cases immediately
✅ Practice proper disposal of dead swine
✅ Avoid prohibited acts and illegal transport of pork products
✅ Support enforcement efforts
✅ Comply with administrative regulations and penalties

Every hog raiser, meat vendor, transporter, and consumer has a role to play in preventing the spread of ASF.

🐾 Every kapon saves lives! ❤🐶🐱

Another successful last July 29, 2026 helped 17 beloved pets take a step toward healthier, happier lives through FREE spay and neuter services from the Victorias City Veterinary Office.

📌 Services Provided:
🐶 3 Canine Neutered
🐱 8 Feline Spayed | 4 Feline Neutered

This continuing initiative, under the leadership of Mayor Junb Bantug and the supervision of Dr. Jec Cabuguason, City Veterinarian, promotes responsible pet ownership, prevents unwanted litters, and helps create a safer, healthier Victorias City for both pets and people.

The City Veterinary Office encourages all pet owners to take part in this free program and become partners in building a healthier, safer, and more pet-friendly Victorias City.

🚨 Keeping Our Streets Safer, One Stray at a Time! 🐕🐾

The City Veterinary Office conducted a Dog Catching Activity in Barangay 7 as part of its continuing efforts to protect the public from the risks of free-roaming dogs, prevent the spread of rabies, promote responsible pet ownership, and ensure the welfare of stray animals.

A total of 6 stray dogs were safely captured during the operation. All captured dogs will be brought to the City Veterinary Hospital, where they will undergo spaying as part of the city’s humane stray animal management program. They will also be properly cared for, provided with food, and housed at the City Dog Shelter, where their health and welfare will be closely monitored.

Together, let's promote responsible pet ownership and help create a safer, healthier Victorias City for everyone.
