Our Story
In 1980, a missionary from America – brother Wright – bought a three hundred square meter property in Victorias City for a purpose to build a church. It was sold to him for about twenty-seven thousand pesos. The church that was built was the first Apostolic church throughout city area and it was led by the following previous pastors- pastor Ludivico Rumay and pastor Henry Panolino. Pastor Ludivico pioneered the church until he moved out in 1989. Later then it was Henry Panolino who pastored next to him for a few months.
It was the time that the church was in need of a pastor to serve the congregation. A man from Talisay Negros – brother Arthur “Art” Salaver – was asked to preach through Rev. Ernesto Tong, the former presbyter and likewise his pastor. Then he decided to preach God’s Message and almost the believers in the church were blessed. They all agreed to brother Art to be their pastor. In the next following months, brother Art took his pastoral license and became the official pastor of the church.
