• Whole body o half body picture ng Senior Citizen na may hawak na kalendaryo (August o September 2026)
• Valid ID ng Authorized Representative
•Authorization Letter prescribed ng DSWD.

✅ Dumating sa tamang oras at iskedyul
✅ Magdala ng sariling tubig, pagkain, payong, o pamaypay
✅ Magsuot ng komportableng damit at facemask kung kinakailangan
✅ Panatilihin ang kalinisan at kaayusan ng lugar
✅ Iwasan ang siksikan upang maiwasan ang abala at aksidente
✅ Kung may karamdaman, maaaring magpadala ng authorized representative.

Empowering Women, Building Stronger Communities! 💙🌿

📍 Turnover Ceremony of Training Equipment

🗓️ July 23, 2026

The Local Government Unit of Viga successfully conducted the Turnover Ceremony of Training Equipment to the Women's Organization of Barangay Begonia on July 23, 2026, marking another significant milestone in promoting women's empowerment and sustainable livelihood development in the municipality.

The ceremony was graced by Municipal Mayor Hon. Jennifer M. Tuplano, together with the staff of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and Barangay Captain Hon. Rey U. Obre, who reaffirmed their commitment to supporting programs that enhance the skills, productivity, and economic opportunities of women in the community.

The training equipment distributed will enable the beneficiaries to produce high-quality handicrafts from coconut shells, creating additional livelihood opportunities while promoting the sustainable use of locally available resources.

Prior to the equipment turnover, the beneficiaries completed a three-day skills training conducted in coordination with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through Business Counselor Rhea Chloe Peña. The training was facilitated by expert trainers Jobel T. Cabrera and Arlene P. Cabrera, who are widely recognized for producing and exporting coconut shell products from Catanduanes to various towns and cities outside the province. Their expertise provided the participants with valuable knowledge and practical skills in coconut shell handicraft production.

This initiative reflects the Local Government Unit of Viga's continuing commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable development by equipping women's organizations with the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to build resilient and self-sustaining livelihoods.

May this endeavor inspire the members of the Women's Organization of Barangay Begonia to maximize these resources, strengthen their organization, and create lasting economic opportunities for their families and the community.

Walang Gutom Program 2027
📍 July 23, 2026 | Walang Gutom Program 2027 | Food Redemption and UPLIFT Cash Payout

The Municipality of Viga, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V, successfully conducted the Walang Gutom Program 2027 – Food Redemption and UPLIFT Cash Payout on July 23, 2026 for eligible beneficiaries in the municipality.

A total of 41 UPLIFT beneficiaries received their cash assistance, while 58 beneficiaries redeemed their monthly food allocation through the Food Redemption component at Chonamike Fruits and Vegetables Trading.

This activity was made possible through the collaborative efforts of:
- Sir Janbert Beren, DSWD Walang Gutom Focal Person
- MSWDO Viga headed by Michelle Joy N. Ajero, RSW
- Hon. Jennifer M. Tuplano, Municipal Mayor

48th National Disability Rights Week 2026 ♿💚

The Municipality of Viga successfully celebrated the 48th National Disability Rights Week on July 23, 2026, bringing together registered Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) from different barangays in a meaningful celebration of inclusion, empowerment, and equal participation.

The celebration featured the inspiring success story of Ms. Anamarie V. Tusi, the awarding of wheelchairs to two (2) PWD beneficiaries, fun-filled games, and other engaging activities that strengthened friendship, hope, and solidarity among members of the PWD community.

This meaningful celebration was made possible through the unwavering support and leadership of Hon. Jennifer M. Tuplano, Municipal Mayor, Ms. Gemma Isabel Olonan, PDAO Designate, and the Sangguniang Bayan Members, whose continued commitment to the theme, "Rights First, Legislation Forward – Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development," has strengthened the implementation of programs and services of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office(MSWDO) for Persons with Disabilities in the Municipality of Viga.

May this celebration serve as a reminder that disability does not limit one's ability to dream, achieve, and contribute meaningfully to society. 📍Project LAWA at BINHI Payout | Municipality of Viga
🗓️ July 22, 2026

The Municipality of Viga successfully conducted the Project LAWA at BINHI Payout on July 22, 2026, providing financial assistance to qualified beneficiaries from six (6) barangays under the program.

A total of 300 beneficiaries (50 beneficiaries per barangay) received their payouts from the following barangays:

Roxas
Buenavista
Begonia
Tambongon
Asuncion
San Vicente

This successful implementation was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office V – Bicol Region and the Local Government Unit of Viga.

The activity was spearheaded by DSWD Focal Person Sir Alexander D. Aguilar, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Michelle Joy N. Ajero, RSW, with the full support of Municipal Mayor Hon. Jennifer M. Tuplano. The Technical Working Group (TWG) of the LGU, together with the DSWD augmentation team led by Sir Norman S. Laurio, ensured the smooth and orderly conduct of the payout.

The Municipality of Viga extends its heartfelt gratitude to DSWD Region V, all partner agencies, barangay officials, the TWG, and everyone who contributed to the successful implementation of this program.

Together, we continue to strengthen community resilience and provide timely assistance to families through Project LAWA at BINHI.

🎉 CHILD DEVELOPMENT WORKERS’ WEEK CELEBRATION 2026 🎉
Tema: “Mga Child Development Workers, Haligi ng Maagang Edukasyon, Gabay sa Matatag na Kinabukasan ng Kabataan”

Sa pangunguna at buong suporta ni Municipal Mayor Jennifer M. Tuplano, matagumpay na idinaos ng Local Government Unit of Viga (LGU-Viga) ang pagdiriwang ng Child Development Workers’ Week 2026, bilang pagkilala at pagpapahalaga sa mahalagang papel ng ating mga Child Development Workers/Teachers (CDW/Ts) sa paghubog ng kinabukasan ng bawat batang Viganon. Ang kanyang patuloy na suporta sa mga programa para sa Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) ay sumasalamin sa matibay na adhikain ng LGU-Viga na mamuhunan sa kapakanan at pag-unlad ng mga bata.

Sa pagdiriwang na ito, ating kinikilala at pinararangalan ang walang-sawang dedikasyon, malasakit, at pagmamahal ng ating mga Child Development Workers/Teachers (CDW/Ts) na patuloy na gumagabay at humuhubog sa mga kabataan tungo sa isang mas maliwanag na kinabukasan.

Bilang bahagi ng pagdiriwang, isinagawa ang mga makabuluhang learning sessions na naglalayong higit pang palawakin ang kaalaman, kasanayan, at kamalayan ng ating mga CDW/Ts. Ang mga mahahalagang paksa ay ibinahagi ng ating mga resource speakers na sina Ms. Michelle Joy N. Ajero, RSW – MSWDO; Myrla E. Villamartin – PDO I/ECCD Focal Person; Jessie M. Publico; at Marvie C. Ogalesco.

Nagpamahagi rin ang Local Government Unit of Viga (LGU-Viga) ng mga school supplies para sa mga Child Development Centers (CDCs) bilang suporta sa mga Child Development Workers at sa kanilang patuloy na pagsisikap na makapagbigay ng de-kalidad, ligtas, at makabuluhang Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) services para sa ating mga kabataan.

Ang bawat CDW/T ay isang mahalagang haligi sa paghubog ng mga unang taon ng pagkatuto ng ating mga anak. Sa kanilang tiyaga, sipag, at malasakit, naitataguyod ang isang ligtas, masaya, at makabuluhang kapaligiran kung saan ang bawat bata ay may pagkakataong matuto, umunlad, at mangarap.

Maraming salamat sa ating mga Child Development Workers/Teachers sa inyong hindi matatawarang dedikasyon at serbisyo. Kayo ay tunay na katuwang ng LGU-Viga sa pagbuo ng isang matatag, maunlad, at child-friendly na komunidad.

LCAT-VAWC & LCPC Capability Building

Under the leadership of LCPC and LCAT-VAWC Chairperson, Hon. Mayor Jennifer M. Tuplano, the LCAT-VAWC & LCPC Capability Building was successfully conducted with the participation of the members of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the Local Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC). The activity aimed to strengthen their knowledge and enhance their capacity to effectively protect the rights and welfare of children, women, and other vulnerable sectors in the community.

During the activity, Ms. Aileen B. Alim discussed the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC), while Ms. Laisa Maoren L. Desolo-Tatel presented the roles, mandates, and key responsibilities of the Local Committee Against Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC).

We extend our sincere gratitude to our resource speakers for sharing their expertise and valuable insights, as well as to all the LCPC and LCAT-VAWC members for their active participation, commitment, and unwavering dedication to promoting the welfare and protection of children, women, and other vulnerable sectors.
