📢 COMELEC Viga Participates in Liga ng mga Barangay Meeting/Session and Conducts Ocular Inspection of Voting Center

Today, August 6, 2026, the Office of the Election Officer, COMELEC Viga actively participated in the Liga ng mga Barangay Meeting/Session held at the Del Pilar Barangay Plaza along with other invited guests/agencies.

During the meeting, Ms. Erren A. Burce, Election Officer III discussed the Calendar of Activities, Filing of Certificates of Candidacy (COC), COC Readiness Caravan 2026 and other important election-related concerns and reminders in preparation for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE).

Following the meeting, the COMELEC Viga team also conducted an ocular inspection of Del Pilar Elementary School, Del Pilar, Viga, Catanduanes, to assess its readiness and identify areas that may require improvements to ensure the orderly, safe, and efficient conduct of the upcoming elections.

Through continuous coordination with our stakeholders and regular field inspections, COMELEC Viga remains committed to ensuring a credible, peaceful, and well-prepared BSKE 2026.

📢 FIRST TIME VOTER ORIENTATION | July 31, 2026

The Office of the Election Officer, COMELEC Viga, in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), successfully conducted the First Time Voter Orientation today, July 31, 2026, at Tambongon National High School, Tambongon, Viga, Catanduanes.

The activity aimed to educate and inspire students who are prospective first-time voters and also aspirants for BSKE 2026 by equipping them with essential knowledge on the importance of voter registration, the electoral process, and the vital role of every citizen in strengthening Philippine democracy. Through interactive discussion, the participants gained a deeper appreciation of responsible and informed voting.

COMELEC Viga extends its sincere gratitude to the administration, faculty, and students of Tambongon National High School for their warm hospitality, active participation, and unwavering support in making this voter education initiative a success.
