Protecting the environment and conserving natural resources in Memorial Gardens with the natural beauty and elegance of bamboo vases

We can work together to pull glass, plastic and metal vases out of the waste stream associated with Memorial Gardens. Using containers like bamboo to hold floral arrangements meets one of the 3 Rs of conserving natural resources. Hand crafted bamboo vases made from scrap material meets the definitions of recycling. Scrap is recycled to make the vases. When maintenance crews collect the vases, they can be processed to return to the Earth through natural or enhanced decomposition. By using a natural product for vases, there is no need for glass, metal, or plastic and that is a contribution to managing waste and protecting the natural environment.
