Preparedness and Response to Super Typhoon Nando

The Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) held a meeting to address pressing concerns and preparedness measures in light of the impacts brought by Super Typhoon Nando. The session focused on ensuring community safety, immediate response, and recovery strategies.
Agenda Highlights:
1. Duty β Clear assignment of responsibilities to BDRRMC members and volunteers to strengthen response efforts during and after the typhoon.
2. Agriculture Damages β Initial reports and assessments of crop and farmland destruction caused by Super Typhoon Nando, with plans for documentation and coordination with concerned agencies for possible assistance.
3. Health β Monitoring of community health conditions, particularly sanitation and disease prevention in evacuation centers and affected areas.
4. House Damages β Recording of partially and totally damaged houses for consolidation and submission to higher offices for assistance.
5. Card Inc. Reporting β Reminder that all Card Inc. members must report and comply with the necessary requirements before the issuance of certification.
6. Liquor Ban β Reinforcement of the liquor ban among business owners to maintain order and discipline during the recovery phase.
In his statement, the Punong Barangay/BDRRMC Chairperson Hon. Rolly A. Nacuray emphasized:βOur priority is the safety and welfare of our constituents. Through coordinated efforts, we will ensure that all affected families receive the necessary support as we work towards recovery from Super Typhoon Nando."
The BDRRMC reaffirmed its commitment to safeguard the welfare of the community by implementing responsive measures and coordinating with partner agencies to ensure recovery and rehabilitation after the devastation of Super Typhoon Nando.
