Pasay City β The PNP Aviation Security Group (AVSEGROUP), in close coordination with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the San Fernando City Police Station (SFC PS), La Union Police Provincial Office (LU PPO), successfully arrested a wanted individual at the International Arrival Area of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on September 1, 2026.
The accused, a 41-year-old Filipino female, single, and an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), was intercepted by BI personnel upon arrival from Dubai after verification revealed an outstanding Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, San Fernando City, La Union, dated November 20, 2014, for two counts of Qualified Theft, with a total recommended bail of Php98,000.00.
The joint police operation was subsequently conducted, resulting in the arrest of the accused. She was informed of the nature of her arrest and apprised of her constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language known and understood by her. An Alternative Recording Device (ARD) was likewise utilized during the conduct of the arrest to ensure transparency and accountability.
The accused is now under the custody of the San Fernando City Police Station, La Union, for documentation and proper legal disposition.
