𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺: 𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧 𝗜-𝗛𝘂𝗯 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀

To strengthen collaboration and support for innovation-driven enterprises in the province, DOST Catanduanes, through its Innovation Hub (I-Hub) Program, conducted a Stakeholders Consultation Meeting with representatives from government agencies, academe, business organizations, innovators, and community partners.

The consultation began with a presentation by Prof. Ma. Crestia Bañares, Executive Director of the Bicol Consortium for Regional Startup Enablers (BiCoRSE), who provided an overview of the startup ecosystem in the Bicol Region. She discussed the concept of startups, the importance of building a supportive ecosystem, the key stakeholders involved, and strategies that can help strengthen and institutionalize startup development initiatives.

This was followed by the presentation of the DOST Innovation Hub Program, which introduced its objectives, services, and planned activities to support innovators and aspiring startup founders. Partner agencies and organizations also shared their existing programs and services, providing an opportunity to identify areas for collaboration and align efforts in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the province.

Among the stakeholders who participated were the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), Catanduanes State University–Intellectual Property Unit, PhilFIDA, DSWD–Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), DICT, DTI, JCI Catanduanes Chapter, PCCI Catanduanes, Association of Catanduanes Inventors and Innovators, Virac Ladies Circle, and the Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Offices (LEDIPO) of Virac and San Andres.

The consultation highlighted the importance of collaboration among stakeholders in creating a supportive environment for startups and innovators. Through partnerships and shared initiatives, stakeholders expressed their commitment to helping develop innovative ideas into sustainable enterprises that can contribute to the growth and development of Catanduanes.

The DOST Innovation Hub Program serves as a platform for collaboration, learning, and innovation, empowering Catandunganons to transform ideas into impactful solutions and fostering a thriving innovative startup ecosystem for the province.

Ang 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘺 ay ang pinakakaraniwan at pinakalaganap na uri ng langaw. Ang mga ito ay maaaring magdala ng mahigit isandaang 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘯, kabilang ang 𝘣𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢, 𝘷𝘪𝘳𝘶𝘴, 𝘧𝘶𝘯𝘨𝘪, at 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴.

❓𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗯𝗮 '𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗮, 𝘀𝗶 "𝗩𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮"?
Ang mga langaw ay karaniwang kumakain at nagpaparami sa mga dumi ng hayop, mga nabubulok na bagay, at maging sa pagkain mo. Kung dadapo sila sa kinakain mo, malaki ang posibilidad na hindi pagkain ang huli nilang pinanggalingan.

At dahil hindi sila nakangunguya ng pagkain, dumudura sila ng laway na may mga 𝘦𝘯𝘻𝘺𝘮𝘦 upang matunaw ang pagkain bago nila ito sipsipin.

🤏𝗦𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗶𝘁, 𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗵!
Kumpul-kumpol kung mangitlog ang langaw (umaabot sa halos 300 na itlog kada pangingitlog). At mahirap makita ang mga ito dahil umaabot lamang sa humigit-kumulang 1.2 mm ang kanilang laki.

Dagdag pa rito, ang mga itlog ng langaw ay kadalasang puti o dilaw at nagmimistulang mga maliliit na butil ng bigas. Mula sa pangingitlog, napipisa ang mga ito sa loob lamang ng isang araw (lalo na sa mga maiinit at 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘪𝘥 na lugar).

🤩 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗮
Kung kakain sa labas, kilatisin ang pagkain lalo na kung matagal itong naiwan na walang takip. Upang maiwasan ang pagkasira at pag-aaksaya ng pagkain sa tahanan, panatilihing nakatakip ang pagkain, bawasan ang sobrang 𝘮𝘰𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 sa paligid, at regular na linisin ang mga kanal at basurahan.
