The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Catanduanes Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) is set to conduct the 2026 2nd Quarter Commodity Flow Survey (CFS) as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the country's Domestic Trade Statistics (DTS). The survey aims to collect quarterly data on the movement of commodities between provinces, particularly those transported by road. It covers selected establishments engaged in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing, and Wholesale Trade.
In Catanduanes, five (5) establishments have been selected to participate in the survey. Data collection is scheduled from 16 to 30 June 2026. Survey questionnaires and related materials will be distributed to the participating establishments, which may choose to accomplish either the electronic or paper-based version of the questionnaire.
To ensure the quality and reliability of the statistics generated, the PSA enjoins the full cooperation of all participating establishments in providing timely, accurate, and truthful information. All data collected will be treated with utmost confidentiality and used solely for statistical purposes in accordance with Republic Act No. 10625, particularly Section 27 on Confidentiality of Information.
Chief Statistical Specialist Anavi F. Camacho encourages all respondents to actively support the survey by providing complete and accurate data. The information gathered through the CFS serves as a vital input in monitoring domestic trade flows and supports evidence-based planning, policy formulation, and decision-making for the country's economic development.
