As we look back on the first six months of 2026, we proudly present the accomplishments of the Sangguniang Kabataan Councils of the Municipality of Virac. A New Chapter of Leadership and Service Begins. 🇵🇭

Upon the appointment of SK Municipal Federation President Lyle Benson Cabrera, the newly appointed officers of the Sangguniang Kabataan Municipal Federation of Virac officially took their Oath of Office before Mayor “Posoy” Sarmiento, signifying their commitment to serve the youth of our municipality with integrity, dedication, and excellence.

These appointments were made to ensure the continuous and uninterrupted operations of the Federation following the resignation of the previously elected officers, who have since pursued greater career opportunities. Through this transition, the Federation remains fully committed to delivering responsive programs, meaningful initiatives, and quality public service for every young Viracnon.

We proudly welcome our newly appointed Federation Officers:

• Angelica Joy Palacio – SKMF Treasurer
• Encheca Matienzo – SKMF Secretary
• SKMF Sergeant-at-Arms

As they begin this new responsibility, may their oath serve as a constant reminder that leadership is not merely a position—it is a commitment to empower others, uphold accountability, and become instruments of positive change in our community.

Under the leadership of SK Municipal Federation President Lyle Benson Cabrera, and the SKMF Officers- the SK Municipal Federation of Virac remains steadfast in championing good governance, transparency, youth empowerment, and genuine public service. Together, we will continue building a stronger Federation that inspires every young Viracnon to lead, participate, and create lasting change.

📌 Regular Session of the SK Municipal Federation Officers of Virac

The SK Municipal Federation President, Lyle Cabrera, convened a Regular Session with the newly appointed officers of the SK Municipal Federation of Virac at Blue Café.

Present during the session were:

• SKMF Treasurer – SK Joy Palacio, Barangay Bigaa
• SKMF Secretary – SK Encheca Matienzo, Barangay Calatagan Tibang
• SKMF Sergeant-at-Arms – SK Aaron Paul Fernandez, Barangay Pago Baguio

Also present were SKMF Auditor John Erwin Tabo of Barangay Palnab del Norte, together with SK Roselyn Magtangob of Barangay Sto. Niño and SK Lovely Bagadiong, who also happened to be at Blue Café during the meeting.

The session focused on the orientation of the newly appointed officers, including the discussion of their appointment process, the scheduling of their oath-taking before Municipal Mayor Posoy Sarmiento, and the review of the agenda items to be presented during the upcoming Regular Session of the SK Municipal Federation with all member SK Councils.

Transparency Notice:
The snacks and meals served during this meeting were personally paid for by SK Municipal Federation President Lyle Cabrera using his own personal funds. No government funds, SK funds, or public funds were used for this meeting.

As public servants, we remain committed to transparency, accountability, and the responsible use of public resources in every activity of the Federation.

Every opportunity to lead is temporary, but the impact we leave on the youth can last for years. As the term of this Federation continues, we remain determined to make every remaining day count—through meaningful programs, responsible leadership, and genuine public service.

This is our last push as a Federation under the leadership of President Lyle Cabrera: to maximize every opportunity entrusted to us, fulfill our responsibilities with integrity, and leave behind a legacy that will continue to benefit the youth of the Municipality of Virac long after our term has ended.

📌 2nd Quarter Regular Session of 2026 (32/63 attendees)

The SK Municipal Federation of Virac successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Regular Session of 2026, with 32 out of 63 members in attendance.

In consideration of the significant increase in fuel prices during that period, provisions were made to allow some members to participate through online attendance, which were approved by the DILG of Virac, ensuring that important Federation matters could still be discussed while easing the financial burden of travel for participating SK officials.

OFFICIAL UPDATE ON THE MEMBERSHIP DUES TO THE SK MUNICIPAL FEDERATION OF VIRAC (17/63)

The SK Municipal Federation of Virac is pleased to acknowledge the following Sangguniang Kabataan Councils that have already complied with the payment of their Federation Membership Dues.

The payment of membership dues is an important responsibility of every SK Council as part of the municipal wide organization. These contributions help support the Federation’s administrative operations, inter-barangay coordination, leadership development initiatives, official activities, and other programs that strengthen youth governance in the Municipality of Virac. Through the collective support of our member councils, the Federation is able to carry out its mandate more effectively and efficiently.

We likewise extend our appreciation to all SK Councils that have already fulfilled this obligation. Your compliance reflects your commitment to responsible governance, accountability, and solidarity in advancing the welfare of the youth.

At the same time, we respectfully remind all SK Councils that are already capable of processing their transactions and completing the necessary requirements to settle their Membership Dues at the earliest opportunity. Prompt compliance contributes to the continuous and effective operation of the Federation and enables us to better serve the interests of every Viracnon youth.
