₱147.4-M SUSPECTED MA*****NA KUSH INTERCEPTED IN SUBIC SEAPORT OPERATION

Nearly 100 kilograms of suspected Ma*****na Kush worth an estimated ₱147.48 million were intercepted in a joint seaport interdiction operation in Subic, underscoring the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies to prevent dangerous drugs from reaching communities.

The operation was conducted at about 6:05 p.m. on September 2, 2026 at the Subic Bay Yacht Club by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Customs, and other participating units.

During the inspection of a yacht, a PDEA Narcotic Detection Dog indicated the possible presence of dangerous drugs. This led authorities to an area where 89 plastic bags containing suspected Ma*****na Kush were discovered.

The seized substance had a total weight of approximately 98,322 grams and an estimated standard drug price of ₱147,483,000.00. The items are currently under the custody of the PDEA Regional Office 3 Laboratory Section for documentation, laboratory examination, and proper disposition.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the seizure highlights the value of coordinated action, particularly at ports and other entry points where illegal drugs may be transported.

“This is about staying alert and working together. Hindi natin kailangang hintayin na makarating sa mga komunidad ang illegal drugs bago kumilos. When agencies coordinate early and act within the law, we have a better chance of stopping the problem at its source,” PGen Nartatez said.

The operation forms part of the PNP’s implementation of its Focus Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, which strengthens coordination, timely action, and effective law enforcement in addressing security concerns.

The PNP will continue to work closely with PDEA, the Bureau of Customs, and other government partners in strengthening interdiction measures while upholding due process and the rights of all persons involved. The public is likewise encouraged to remain vigilant and report information on suspected illegal drug activities through proper authorities.

These continuing efforts support the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in promoting safer communities and reinforce the PNP’s commitment to a “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”

₱300K PHONE DEAL UNMASKS MAKATI ROBBERY PLOT: CHINESE NATIONAL, 2 OTHERS COLLARED

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a Chinese national and two Filipino suspects after an alleged robbery attempt during a ₱300,000.00 cellular phone transaction in Makati City on September 3, 2026.

The suspects were identified as alias “Lulu,” a 27-year-old Chinese national and resident of Pasay City; alias “James,” 19; and alias “Leif,” 24, both residents of Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

The victims met the suspects for the scheduled cellular phone purchase along Amorsolo Street. During the transaction, the suspects allegedly forcibly took one of the victims aboard their vehicle, prompting the other victim to pursue them and call for police assistance. Responding officers intercepted a black Ford Territory and a silver Toyota Fortuner, leading to the arrest of the three suspects before they could leave the vicinity.

Police recovered a Ta**us 9mm pistol loaded with seven live rounds of am******on and a caliber .38 revolver loaded with three live rounds. Also seized were assorted license plates bearing different plate numbers, cellular phones, personal belongings, two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing approximately 1.8 grams of suspected shabu, and two glass tubes with suspected drug residue.

The suspects underwent mandatory medical examination before being brought to the Makati City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. Complaints for Attempted Robbery, violations of Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act, Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Republic Act No. 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, Grave Coercion, and Usurpation of Authority or Official Functions were referred for appropriate proceedings.

“Police officers must remain vigilant and decisive when criminal activity threatens public safety. This operation demonstrates the importance of immediate police action in preventing an alleged crime from escalating and ensuring that suspects are brought before the proper authorities,” PGEN Nartatez said.

“Hindi natin pahihintulutan na gamitin ang ating bansa bilang lugar ng karahasan at krimen, lalo na kung dayuhan ang sangkot. Anuman ang kanilang lahi o katayuan, mananagot sa batas ang sinumang lalabag dito,” he added.

The operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, a framework for police transformation that strengthens public safety through decisive law enforcement, particularly Enhanced Managing Police Operations through timely response and prompt apprehension of suspects.

As the PNP strengthens its efforts to prevent crime and protect communities under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

CatPPO Joins Nationwide Simultaneous Active Shooter Drill at Virac Pilot Elementary School

VIRAC, CATANDUANES – To sharpen emergency response times and strengthen school safety, the Catanduanes Police Provincial Office (CatPPO), led by Provincial Director PCOL VIRGILIO R BUENA, participated in the Nationwide Simultaneous Active Shooter Drill at Virac Pilot Elementary School today, September 3, 2026.

The activity is part of the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) intensified campaign to enhance the preparedness of local academic institutions and first responders against potential active shooter scenarios and other high-risk emergency situations. During the simulated exercise, emergency teams practiced tactical containment, rapid student evacuation, and structured medical triaging under realistic crisis conditions.

The drill was executed in close collaboration with the Virac Municipal Police Station, Catanduanes 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Virac, Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
