⁨WATCH || GAD ASSEMBLY AT EDWIN ANDREWS AIR BASE

The Gender and Development Office, Philippine Air Force (GADO, PAF), under the leadership of COL HAZEL C BRACAMONTE PAF (GSC), successfully conducted a Gender and Development (GAD) Assembly on September 07 2026 at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City. The activity was graced by MGEN ROMAN M DIOSO PAF, Commander, Air Combat Command, Philippine Air Force, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, and was attended by PAF personnel and participants from various units.

The assembly featured lectures from Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Ms. Vanessa Vianca Pallarco of UN Women Philippines and Mr. John Rey P. Catalan, MMPA, of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU). Ms. Pallarco delivered a lecture on the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Framework and Humanitarian Action in the Air Operations Context, highlighting the importance of gender-responsive approaches in humanitarian and operational settings. Meanwhile, Mr. Catalan discussed the Integration of WPS in Air Operations, emphasizing the importance of incorporating gender perspectives in the planning and implementation of air operations.

The activity strengthened the participants’ understanding of the WPS framework and its relevance to air operations and humanitarian action. It also emphasized the importance of women’s meaningful participation, protection, and empowerment in peace and security efforts, while reinforcing the Philippine Air Force’s commitment to gender equality, gender mainstreaming, and the promotion of inclusive and gender-responsive operations.

ACC OBSERVES MANA Mo 2026, RECOGNIZES NEWLY PROMOTED PERSONNEL

The Air Combat Command (ACC) joins the National Simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in observance of the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) 2026, led by Commander, ACC, at Edwin Andrews Air Base, Zamboanga City, on September 7, 2026.

Anchored on this year’s theme, “Katapatan sa Karagatan, Sama-Sama Nating Alagaan,” MGEN DIOSO conveyed the message of His Excellency Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, emphasizing the collective responsibility to strengthen maritime consciousness, uphold the nation’s lawful maritime rights, and protect the country’s maritime heritage and national patrimony.

The ACC remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote maritime awareness, responsible stewardship of the seas, and the protection of the nation’s maritime interests.

The ceremony also recognized seven (7) enlisted personnel who were promoted to their next higher rank through the Pinning of Chevron Ceremony. MGEN DIOSO congratulated the newly promoted personnel and expressed appreciation for their hard work, dedication, and valuable contributions to the Command’s mission.

PAF NEWS | PAF SUPPORTS EVACUATION OPERATIONS IN PANIQUI, TARLAC

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tow Northern Luzon and Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) Disaster Response Team Unit (DRTU), augmented the Tarlac Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in conducting evacuation operations in Brgy. Aduas, Paniqui, Tarlac, on August 30, 2026.

The PAF team immediately deployed personnel and necessary rescue equipment to assist in the safe evacuation of affected residents. The operation underscores the PAF’s continued commitment to providing timely and responsive assistance during emergencies and disasters.

PAF NEWS | PAF CONTINUES SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONS IN TARLAC

The Philippine Air Force (PAF), through the Tow Northern Luzon and Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3), continues to support ongoing search and rescue operations following the collapse of a portion of Agana Bridge in Tarlac on August 29, 2026.

The incident involved a Toyota Avanza carrying five passengers that fell into the river. One individual was recovered and brought to Tarlac Provincial Hospital, while efforts continue to locate the remaining four passengers.

PAF personnel, together with teams from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, 522nd Engineer Construction Battalion, and 7th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, immediately prepared for deployment. Upon arrival in the area, the responding teams proceeded to the vicinity of Aquino Bridge to conduct search and rescue operations at the location where the victims were last seen.

PAF personnel, alongside other government response units, remain on the ground conducting search and rescue operations and supporting ongoing efforts to locate the missing individuals.

The PAF remains committed to supporting inter-agency efforts and providing immediate assistance during emergencies and disasters.

PAF NEWS | PAF MOBILIZES FOR HABAGAT RESPONSE IN NORTHERN LUZON

Ready to respond. Ready to serve.

The Philippine Air Force (PAF) mobilized its personnel and assets to deliver Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) to communities affected by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) in Northern Luzon.

With its personnel, resources, and operational capabilities on standby, the PAF swiftly responded to the needs of affected communities, working alongside local authorities and other responders to provide assistance where it was most needed.

The operations underscore the PAF’s commitment to maintaining mission readiness and responsive airpower in times of crisis—extending its service beyond defense of the nation to the protection and welfare of the Filipino people.

When communities need help, the PAF is ready to respond.

BALITANG PAF | DRTU NG TOG 3, NAKIPAGTULUNGAN SA SANDBAGGING OPERATIONS SA TARLAC

Bilang bahagi ng Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) operations ng Philippine Air Force (PAF), nakipagtulungan ang Disaster Response Tasked Unit (DRTU) Team ng Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Tarlac para sa sandbagging operations noong Agosto 22, 2026, sa San Isidro, Tarlac City.

Kasama rin sa kasalukuyang operasyon ang mga personel mula sa iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan at mga sangay ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). Patuloy na pinupunan, inihahatid, at inilalagay ang mga sandbag na naglalaman ng ilang toneladang buhangin sa mga apektadong bahagi ng ilog upang mapatatag ang lugar at makatulong na maiwasan ang karagdagang pinsala dulot ng Southwest Monsoon.

Patuloy namang nakikiisa ang PAF sa mga lokal na pamahalaan, iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, at mga sangay ng AFP sa pagtugon sa mga pangangailangan ng mga komunidad na apektado ng kalamidad.
