On September 21, 2026, the Cultural Affairs Division (CAD) of NCMF Region IX-A – Zamboanga Peninsula, serving as the Secretariat of the Zamboanga Shari’ah Training Center, facilitated the participation of qualified applicants from the region in the Online Opening Ceremony of the 21st Shari’ah Training Seminar (STS) conducted via Microsoft Teams.
The activity was undertaken under the leadership of Regional Director Rhoaisa S. Matolo-Mukaram, JD, and under the supervision of Chief Darlhata A. Musa, Cultural Affairs Division, who provided direction and oversight in the implementation of the activity.
In its capacity as the STS Secretariat, the Division coordinated with qualified applicants prior to the activity, disseminated the official announcements, guidelines, and reminders through email and the official STS group chat, and ensured that participants were properly informed of the schedule and online arrangements. The Secretariat likewise facilitated and monitored the participation of applicants from Region IX-A – Zamboanga Peninsula throughout the opening ceremony.
The activity commenced at 1:00 PM and was facilitated by the BMCA-Shari’ah Training Education (STED), which formally opened the 21st Shari’ah Training Seminar. The program served as an orientation for the participants on the conduct, requirements, and expectations of the training and marked the beginning of the seminar activities for the current training cycle. The 20-day online Asynchronous session officially commenced on September 21, 2026, and will conclude on October 16, 2026, after which the participants will proceed to the scheduled Synchronous sessions of the training.
The opening ceremony was successfully conducted with the participation of 50 qualified applicants from Region IX-A – Zamboanga Peninsula, composed of 21 male and 29 female participants. The active coordination, dissemination of information, and monitoring undertaken by the CAD-STS Secretariat contributed to the orderly participation of regional applicants and the smooth implementation of the opening activity. Through these efforts, the Division ensured that the qualified applicants from the region were properly guided and informed at the commencement of the 21st Shari’ah Training Seminar.
