Twenty years of HEMS is not only a story of responding to emergencies. It is also a story of bringing preparedness, knowledge, and hope closer to the communities we serve.
This time, we took the training beyond our usual reach. Our visit to ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ in ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ. ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐ฌ๐, one of the border barangays of Zamboanga City, made this training different from many of our previous ones. We traveled to bring ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ and ๐๐ญ๐๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ ๐
๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ to the community, particularly to ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ students.
We would like to thank the Barangay Council of Calabasa headed by ๐๐จ๐ง. ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฑ ๐๐๐๐ฏ๐๐๐ซ๐ and the school administration of Calabasa National High School, headed by ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐ฉ๐จ๐ง. It is a privilege to serve, but it is an even greater privilege to be welcomed by a community that values the safety, education, and future of its young people.
A heartfelt and sincere thank you also to the Sangguniang KabataanโAyala for their generous support in providing free school supplies to the students. Your willingness to support this outreach reflects the true spirit of youth leadership and community service.
Through this outreach, we hoped to give the students not only something they could use today, but something they could remember, practice, and carry into the future.
