[[ FIRE TRUCK DEPLOYMENT – BRIGADA ESKWELA 2026 ]]

IN PHOTOS || Personnel of the Central Fire Station (CFS), Zamboanga City Fire District, deployed a fire truck and personnel at Baliwasan Central School, Zamboanga City, in support of the conduct of Brigada Eskwela 2026.

The deployment was conducted to assist school personnel, volunteers, parents, and stakeholders participating in the annual school maintenance and preparation activities in anticipation of the opening of classes.

Through the deployment of firefighting resources and personnel, the Bureau of Fire Protection continues to support community-based initiatives while promoting public safety, preparedness, and inter-agency cooperation.

The activity reflects the commitment of the BFP in fostering safer learning environments and strengthening partnerships with educational institutions and the community.

IN PHOTOS || Nakiisa ang mga personnel ng Central Fire Station (CFS), Zamboanga City Fire District, kasama ang iba’t ibang ahensya ng pamahalaan, sa pagdiriwang ng National Flag Day na ginanap sa Zamboanga City Hall ngayong ika-28 ng Mayo 2026.

Ang aktibidad ay isinagawa bilang pagpapakita ng paggalang, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahal sa watawat ng Pilipinas bilang sagisag ng kalayaan, kasaysayan, at pagkakakilanlan ng sambayanang Pilipino.

Sa pamamagitan ng pakikilahok sa naturang pagdiriwang, muling pinagtibay ng mga kalahok ang kanilang suporta sa pagsusulong ng makabayang kamalayan at paglilingkod sa bayan.

[[ STRUCTURAL FIRE INCIDENT – SAN JOSE GUSU ]]

IN PHOTOS || Personnel of the Central Fire Station (CFS), Zamboanga City Fire District, supported firefighting operations during a structural fire incident at Campilan Drive, Suterville, Barangay San Jose Gusu, Zamboanga City, reported at approximately 9:47 AM. The incident involved a residential structure and prompted the response of six (6) BFP firetrucks and one (1) ambulance.

Upon arrival at the fire scene, responding personnel immediately conducted fire suppression operations. The incident was declared Fire Under Control at approximately 10:19 AM and was subsequently declared Fire Out at 11:22 AM of the same date.

The Local Government Unit of Zamboanga City, through the Zamboanga City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (ZCDRRMO), for the provision of water tanker support and logistical assistance during the firefighting operations.

The fire affected two residential structures with an estimated affected area of approximately 200 square meters and an estimated damage amounting to Php 2.4 Million more or less.

Initial reports disclosed that two individuals sustained injuries, which are still subject for verification. No fatalities or missing persons were reported in connection with the incident.

The Intelligence and Investigation Section (IIS) of ZCFD is currently conducting investigation to determine the cause and origin of the fire.

[[ STRUCTURAL FIRE INCIDENT – BARANGAY STA. MARIA ]]

IN PHOTOS || Personnel of the Central Fire Station (CFS), Zamboanga City Fire District, responded to a reported structural (residential) fire incident at Fernando Compound, Barangay Sta. Maria, Zamboanga City, at approximately 3:51 AM.

The incident reached First Alarm status, prompting the response of five engine companies including Sta. Maria FSS Engine 26 and Engine 39, Central FS Engine 36, Guiwan FSS Engine 09, and Tumaga FSS Engine 03.

Upon arrival at the scene at approximately 3:54 AM, responding fire personnel immediately conducted fire suppression operations to contain the fire, prevent its spread to nearby residential structures, and secure the affected area. The fire was declared Under Control at approximately 4:06 AM and subsequently declared Fire Out at approximately 4:29 AM of the same date.

Initial assessment revealed that two residential structures were totally damaged while one residential structure was partially damaged by the fire incident.

Meanwhile, personnel from the Intelligence and Investigation Section (IIS) are currently conducting investigation and assessment to determine the possible cause of the fire incident.

No injuries or casualties were reported in connection with the incident.
