We are especially happy to welcome someone who has already been a familiar and trusted face in our office. From an On-The-JOb Trainee (OJT) who embraced every learning experience, to a 𝐃𝐎𝐋𝐄 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 (𝐆𝐈𝐏) 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 who consistently delivered quality work, Ms. Sadj has now taken another significant step as a government employee. 𝐍𝐋𝐑𝐂 𝐒𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 ₱𝟖,𝟐𝟎𝟎.𝟎𝟎 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐄𝐧𝐀 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞

Another labor dispute has been peacefully resolved through the 𝙎𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚-𝙀𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 (𝙎𝙀𝙣𝘼) mechanism as an aggrieved salesman in the merchandising industry successfully reached an amicable settlement amounting to ₱𝟴,𝟮𝟬𝟬.𝟬𝟬.

The settlement was reached during the SEnA conference facilitated by 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐂. 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐨 of the Sub-Regional Arbitration Branch IX (SRAB IX), with the assistance of GIP intern 𝐌𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐆. 𝐀𝐧𝐝𝐨and I.T. Assistant 𝐌𝐫. 𝐙𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐨 𝐑𝐮𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐈𝐈𝐈.

Through the SEnA process, the parties were provided a venue to openly discuss the worker’s concerns, clarify their respective positions, and explore possible solutions toward the resolution of the labor dispute. With the guidance and facilitation of the SRAB IX team, the parties were able to find common ground and arrive at a mutually acceptable settlement of ₱8,200.00.

For the aggrieved salesman, the settlement represents a meaningful resolution of his labor claims and an opportunity to move forward. For the parties, it also reflects their willingness to engage in constructive dialogue and work toward a mutually acceptable agreement.

SRAB IX continues to strengthen its commitment to providing responsive and accessible labor services, with the support of its personnel and staff who assist in facilitating the peaceful resolution of workplace concerns.

G̲O̲O̲D̲ ̲N̲E̲W̲S̲ ̲|̲ ̲N̲L̲R̲C̲ ̲R̲A̲B̲ ̲I̲X̲

Another step toward the satisfaction of a labor judgment has been successfully accomplished as 𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐇. 𝐀𝐠𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚 successfully garnished the bank account of a respondent-debtor, resulting in the recovery of ₱𝟏𝟎,𝟎𝟏𝟏.𝟓𝟕 representing partial satisfaction of the judgment award due to an aggrieved treatment plant operator.

The garnishment was carried out as part of the enforcement of the judgment award issued in favor of the complainant. Through the ex*****on proceedings, the Sheriff was able to secure the garnished amount from the respondent-debtor’s bank account, bringing the complainant closer to receiving the award adjudged in their favor.

Following the successful garnishment, the garnished check was duly remitted to 𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐮𝐫𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐧 for proper receipt and deposit to the NLRC RAB IX's Trust Fund, where it will be safeguarded pending its eventual release to the complainant in accordance with applicable rules and procedures.

The successful ex*****on underscores the important role of the sheriff in enforcing labor judgments and ensuring that monetary awards granted to aggrieved workers are pursued through lawful ex*****on proceedings.

While the amount recovered represents only a partial satisfaction of the judgment award, each successful garnishment is a meaningful step toward fulfilling the complainant’s entitlement and bringing the case closer to full satisfaction.

👏 Kudos to Sheriff Christian Eric H. Agudera and the RAB IX team for their continued efforts in the effective enforcement of labor judgments and in ensuring that awarded benefits ultimately reach the workers to whom they are due.

Workers in the fishing industry successfully settled their labor claims amounting to ₱𝟔𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎.𝟎𝟎 through the𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐄𝐧𝐀) process facilitated by 𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐎 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐈. 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐚 of the 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐍𝐨. 𝐈𝐗 (𝐍𝐋𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗).

Through the SEnA mechanism, the parties were given an opportunity to sit down, discuss their concerns, and work toward a mutually acceptable resolution of their labor dispute without the need for prolonged litigation.

With the assistance and facilitation of SEADO Engracia, the workers and the other party were able to reach an amicable settlement totaling ₱60,000.00, providing a timely and mutually agreed resolution to the workers’ claims.

The settlement highlights the value of dialogue, conciliation, and cooperation in resolving workplace disputes. It also reflects the continuing efforts of the NLRC RAB IX to make available accessible and efficient avenues for workers and employers to resolve labor concerns.

Through SEnA, the NLRC continues to promote meaningful intervention at the earliest stage of a labor dispute—helping parties find common ground and arrive at solutions that are fair, practical, and mutually acceptable.

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Consistent with the thrust of Secretary of Labor Francis N. Tolentino to uplift the welfare of our workers, food servers in the food service and catering industry successfully reached an amicable settlement amounting to ₱𝟯𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬.𝟬𝟬 in 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧- 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐈𝐗 (𝐍𝐋𝐑𝐂 𝐑𝐀𝐁 𝐈𝐗) in connection with their claims for labor standard benefits.

The settlement was reached during the Mandatory Conference conducted by 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐌. 𝐃𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨-𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐚 of the NLRC RAB IX.
