PNP ACCOUNTS FOR 4,830 FI****MS, NETS 10,366 IN JULY CRACKDOWN ON ILLEGAL FI****MS AND GAMBLING

The Philippine National Police (PNP) intensified its nationwide campaign against loose fi****ms and illegal gambling in July, resulting in the arrest of more than 10,000 individuals as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen peace and order and keep communities safe.

From July 1 to 31, 2026, police operations against loose fi****ms led to the arrest of 965 individuals for violations of Republic Act No. 10591. During the same period, the PNP accounted for 3,724 fi****ms through confiscation, surrender, recovery, and other lawful police actions, while another 1,106 fi****ms were voluntarily turned over by their owners for safekeeping.

The PNP likewise sustained its aggressive campaign against illegal gambling, conducting 4,631 operations nationwide that resulted in the arrest of 9,401 individuals. Authorities also confiscated gambling money and related paraphernalia with an estimated value of โ‚ฑ3.2 million.

The July accomplishments reflect the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), by strengthening intelligence-driven law enforcement, enhancing police visibility, and intensifying operations against activities that threaten public safety and community security. These efforts also support the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure safer communities through professional, accountable, and responsive policing.

Chief PNP, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., emphasized that sustained police presence and consistent law enforcement remain key to preventing crime and maintaining public confidence.

"Every illegal firearm removed from our streets and every illegal gambling operation dismantled helps create a safer environment for our communities. These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our police officers and the continuing partnership of the public in keeping peace and order."

He also underscored the importance of citizen participation in crime prevention.

"Hindi lamang ito tagumpay ng PNP. Tagumpay ito ng bawat mamamayang patuloy na nakikipagtulungan sa amin. Kapag sama-sama tayong kumikilos laban sa kriminalidad, mas nagiging ligtas ang ating mga komunidad."

PNP SEIZES โ‚ฑ628 MILLION WORTH OF SMUGGLED AND COUNTERFEIT GOODS, ARRESTS 656 IN JULY

The Philippine National Police (PNP) strengthened its campaign against smuggling in July, confiscating approximately โ‚ฑ628 million worth of smuggled goods, counterfeit products, and other illegal articles in a sustained nationwide effort to protect consumers, support legitimate businesses, and uphold economic security.

From July 1 to 31, 2026, the PNP conducted 2,927 anti-smuggling operations, leading to the arrest of 656 individuals involved in various violations of existing laws against smuggling, intellectual property infringement, and related illegal trade.

The confiscated items, with an estimated value of โ‚ฑ628 million, represent a significant blow to illicit trade networks that undermine legitimate commerce, deprive the government of lawful revenues, and expose consumers to unregulated and potentially unsafe products.

These accomplishments are aligned with the PNP Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO) by strengthening intelligence-driven enforcement and fostering close coordination with partner government agencies in combating economic crimes. The campaign also supports the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in promoting fair trade, protecting lawful enterprises, and maintaining a secure environment for economic growth.

PNP'S JULY CRACKDOWN NETS 8,199 WANTED PERSONS, โ‚ฑ387.1-M ILLEGAL DRUGS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) intensified its nationwide law enforcement efforts throughout July 1 to 31, 2026, conducting 5,526 anti-illegal drug operations and arresting 8,199 wanted persons in separate police operations across the country.

During the month-long campaign against illegal drugs, police units arrested 6,368 drug personalities, while three others died during legitimate police operations. The operations also resulted in the confiscation of illegal drugs with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of โ‚ฑ387,136,464.40.

Among the illegal drugs seized were 45,334 grams of suspected shabu, 82,036 grams of dried ma*****na leaves, 320,036 ma*****na plants, 336 grams of suspected co***ne, 29 grams of suspected ecstasy, and 2,123 grams of suspected kush ma*****na.

Meanwhile, the PNP's campaign against wanted persons led to the arrest of 8,199 fugitives, consisting of 2,352 Most Wanted Persons and 5,847 Other Wanted Persons, through sustained intelligence-driven operations conducted by police units nationwide.

The July accomplishments reflect the continuing implementation of the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations, by strengthening police visibility, intelligence gathering, and coordinated law enforcement efforts against criminality. PNP RECORDS 36.12% DROP IN FOCUS CRIMES IN JULY 2026

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recorded a 36.12% decrease in focus crimes nationwide for the period of July 1 to 31, 2026, compared with the same period last year, reflecting sustained efforts to strengthen public safety and maintain peace and order across the country.

Based on the latest crime statistics, focus crimes declined from 3,458 incidents in July 2025 to 2,209 incidents this year, or 1,249 fewer cases. Among the eight focus crimes, the biggest reductions were recorded in r**e, which dropped by 56.93%; carnapping of motor vehicles, down by 46.15%; carnapping of motorcycles, down by 42.59%; physical injury, down by 40.40%; robbery, down by 34.34%; theft, down by 31.28%; homicide, down by 5.26%; and murder, down by 4.61%.

The PNP said the continuing decline reflects the collective efforts of police units nationwide, working closely with communities and partner agencies to prevent crime and respond more effectively to public safety concerns. The accomplishment also supports the PNP Focused Agenda, particularly under the Enhanced Managing Police Operations pillar, while contributing to the peace and development priorities of the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.
