Congresswoman Kat Chua believes that “education is the key to unlocking a brighter future.”

Committed to creating more opportunities for the people of Zamboanga City’s 1st Legislative District, Congresswoman Kat Chua continues to explore meaningful ways to help Zamboangueños gain knowledge, develop new skills, and become better equipped to pursue their dreams and improve their lives.

Today, Congresswoman Chua met with officials from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region IX to discuss new opportunities and possible initiatives that will bring skills training and lifelong learning closer to the people of the district.

Joining the meeting were Engr. Alan T. Bacatan, Regional Director of TESDA IX; Omarkhayyam I. Dalagan, Assistant Regional Director/Provincial Director for Zamboanga City–Isabela City; Engr. Adrian B. Ampong, Provincial Director of Zamboanga del Norte; Engr. Samad B. Dibansa, Provincial Director of Zamboanga del Sur; and Gladys A. Tiongco, Acting Provincial Director of Zamboanga Sibugay Province.

Senior Citizens Day in Barangay Canelar was made even more special as Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua extended her support and brought free wellness and pampering services to the community’s senior citizens.

In coordination with the Barangay Council of Canelar, headed by Barangay Captain Godofredo Sabordo Sr., senior citizens enjoyed free haircuts, massages, manicures, and pedicures a simple gesture of appreciation for their invaluable contributions to their families and community.

More than the services, the celebration was about making our senior citizens feel valued, cared for, and remembered. Their smiles and happiness throughout the activity truly made the occasion meaningful. 🧡🧡🧡

The Office of Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua recently joined the Senior Citizens Day in Barangay Zone II, bringing essential services and a little extra care to our beloved senior citizens.

In coordination with the Barangay Council of Zone II, headed by Barangay Captain Nonito Arañas, senior citizens were provided with free eye check-ups, free haircuts, and free rice through the initiative of Congresswoman Kat Chua. The barangay also prepared fun parlor games as an icebreaker, adding joy and excitement to the celebration.

Congresswoman Kat Chua remains committed to bringing accessible services and meaningful assistance closer to our Zamboangueño senior citizens.

Another milestone for the students and the entire school community of San Roque National High School as the groundbreaking ceremony for two new Covered Courts was officially held.

The project is envisioned to provide learners with a safer, more convenient, and more functional space for school programs, events, and other community gatherings.

Congresswoman Kat Chua extends her sincere appreciation to the Department of Public Works & Highways (DPWH), the Barangay Officials of San Roque headed by Barangay Captain Hon. Bebeth Macrohon and the dedicated Faculty and Staff of San Roque National High School, led by School Principal Edwina Galo, for their continued partnership and support.
