Through the initiative of Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua, a successful SiKAT Medical Mission and Operation Libreng Tuli was conducted in Barangay Sta. Barbara, bringing free healthcare services and assistance to hundreds of residents in the barangay.

The activity provided eye check-ups, massages, haircuts, and free circumcision services, ensuring that residents especially children and families received much-needed care without any cost. The strong participation of the community reflects the importance of accessible healthcare and public service initiatives.

This successful undertaking is a testament to Congresswoman Kat Chua’s continuing commitment to improving the well-being of her constituents and bringing government services closer to the people. Through programs like these, lives are touched, families are supported, and communities are strengthened.

As part of its continuing commitment to support education and create a better learning environment for students, the Office of Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua distributed 16 liters of paint today to 26 schools across the 1st Legislative District during Brigada Eskwela 2026.

This initiative aims to help schools prepare their classrooms and facilities for the opening of classes, ensuring that students can learn in clean, safe, and welcoming surroundings.

The Office of Congresswoman Kat Chua remains steadfast in partnering with schools, teachers, parents, and communities in building a brighter future for every learner. In a moment of deep sorrow and helplessness, Ma. Teresa Barera, a resident of Barangay Sta. Maria, was left with nothing but grief after the passing of her husband. With no financial means to shoulder the burial expenses, the family was caught in an overwhelming situation they could not face alone.

Upon learning of their condition, Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua did not hesitate to extend immediate assistance. She personally ensured that all burial expenses were fully covered at Remedios Funeral Homes, allowing the family to give their loved one a dignified and proper farewell without the burden of financial worry.

Overwhelmed with gratitude amid her grief, Ma. Teresa expressed her heartfelt thanks to Congresswoman Kat Chua for the swift help and compassion shown to their family during one of the most painful moments of their lives. 🧡🧡🧡

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗮𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱-𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗻

Assistant Majority Leader Kat Chua immediately coordinated with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to inspect the flooded area in Unity Dream Valley, Barangay Cabatangan, following the heavy rainfall that caused severe flooding.

According to the Barangay Council of Cabatangan, headed by Barangay Captain Allan Dagun, around 150 families were severely affected as floodwater rose to shoulder level, making it difficult for residents to evacuate and protect their belongings.

Through the immediate coordination of Congresswoman Kat Chua, the agency assisted residents in draining the floodwaters and helped families recover from the incident. In addition, the Office of Congresswoman Kat Chua distributed relief goods to the affected families to provide support during this difficult time.

Many residents expressed their gratitude for the immediate response and assistance extended to them, saying that the help brought comfort and relief to their community amid the flooding. 🧡🧡🧡

Hundreds of residents in Barangay Baliwasan benefited from the successful conduct of the SiKAT Medical Mission and Libreng Operation Tuli initiated by Assistant Majority Leader Congresswoman Kat Chua. The outreach activity provided free operation tuli, eye check-up, massage, and haircut for the community.

The success of the activity would not have been possible without the support and collaboration of Labuan General Hospital, 4Rs Optical Clinic, TESDA Zamboanga, and the Barangay Council of Baliwasan, whose dedication and cooperation helped make the mission meaningful and accessible to the residents.

Residents expressed their gratitude to Congresista Kat Chua and all participating agencies for bringing free healthcare services closer to the people and continuing programs that prioritize the welfare of every Zamboangueño. 🧡🧡🧡
