PAF NEWS | PAF SUPPORTS COLLECTIVE EFFORT FOR PEACEFUL BARMM PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
The Tactical Operations Group Sulu-Tawi-Tawi (TOGSULTAW) of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) supported activities of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in preparation for the first Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections through security measures before the actual voting on September 14, 2026. PAF personnel helped secure the transport and delivery of election equipment to designated voting precincts and maintained security around precinct areas to support the orderly preparations for election day.
PAF personnel carried out these security activities in coordination with COMELEC and other government security and law enforcement units within their respective areas of responsibility in Tawi-Tawi. The activities formed part of the broader security measures implemented during the pre-election period to help safeguard election-related activities and equipment.
The PAF joined COMELEC, the AFP, PNP, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Navy, Marine units, and local government partners in supporting the electoral process across BARMM. Through this collective effort, the participating agencies worked together to help facilitate a secure environment for election personnel, equipment, and voters.

PAF NEWS | PAF STRENGTHENS FORWARD PRESENCE, HONORS LEGACY OF SERVICE IN PALAWAN
The Philippine Air Force (PAF) strengthened its forward presence in Palawan through a series of activities led by LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF, Commanding General of the Philippine Air Force, on September 17, 2026, focusing on aviation support, infrastructure readiness, and sustained air operations in the area.
The activities included the assessment of the San Vicente Airstrip and a prospective Forward Operating Base (FOB), as well as an inspection of Tactical Advance Command Post (TACP) Rizal. These engagements provided an opportunity to evaluate existing facilities and forward operating requirements, supporting the PAF’s efforts to maintain responsive and sustainable air operations in the area while remaining prepared to address emerging operational demands.
Complementing these operational activities was the inauguration and blessing of the Antonio Bautista Monument at Headquarters, 570th Air Base Group, honoring the late Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Bautista PAF. The monument serves as a reminder of the courage, dedication, and sacrifice that form part of the PAF’s tradition of service, linking the Air Force’s continuing efforts to strengthen its operational capabilities with the values that guide its personnel in fulfilling the mission.
